The actual rating is somewhere between 1.4 and 1.8, but two full stars is being way too generous for this shitshow of a company.
1) You pay a whopping $2500 for a design they don't even follow and its value isn't comparable to other well known companies that have a similar model
2) I have a demanding job and lead a team of several employees so initially I needed Austin to ensure to me that this was something that I wouldn't have to manage for him and that competent people were monitoring progress at all times. That is the complete opposite of what we experienced. In the first week I noticed issues with layout, we noticed plants chosen that didn't match the design, we noticed plant placement that didn't match the design, I have had to fix their electrical issues because they were incomplete, etc.
3) This project was estimated to last 10 days but it ended up lasting months
4) They would make design changes behind our backs and blame us for not bringing it to their attention (???).
5) They use the crappiest concrete guy in the city and they've had to redo concrete jobs more than a handful of times. Several areas of our concrete are still chipped, appear incomplete or have not finished curing after months
6) They use the crappiest mulch supplier in the city. We have had crushed aerosol cans appear in our mulch, animal carcasses, plastic, receipts, pieces of sponges, dental floss even..? And they are perfectly fine with this subpar level of quality
7) The artificial turf installed was laughable at best. The crushed rock sub base they used was not adequately spread across the area leaving empty patches throughout and caused issues with leveling. As incompetent as one could get, Austin could not see any issues with this and it took an act of Congress for them to fix the issue.
8) The concrete pavers we initially paid for were replaced with shitty concrete stepping stones lured by the same idiot who they choose for all of their projects. And yes, we had issues and continue to have issues with those stepping stones. The excuse we got from Alex, the foreman, was that the ones they were initially going to use were "too heavy to move to the backyard". The excuse we got from Austin is that "they were in bad condition"...
Someone mentioned it already, but they seemed pretty good the first week and everything literally went downhill from there. read more
