Modern Swiss - Watches Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I was looking for a celebration watch for myself, and I came across what might've been a too-good-to-be-true deal online. A mint Rolex with box and papers for the same price that others are selling decent condition watches with no box and papers? Too good to be true right? Well after 30 seconds of google and seeing all his 5-star Google and Yelp reviews, I knew Modern Swiss would be at least worth a phone call. Eddie was super responsive to my initial inquiries (even one that I realize in hindsight was way after normal business hours, my bad), extremely knowledgeable on the subject, and excited for me to mark my celebration with a timepiece. No going back and forth trying to sell me something that might've made him a better profit, he understood my budget (and more importantly my wife's directive - something timeless and not fad-driven) and kept me focused on the prize. 30 minutes later after explaining everything I needed to know about the watch (it's a complicated watch), we completed the transaction, elbow bumped and I was on my way. As soon as I left his shop, I had a huge goofy smile under my mask because not only did I have one of my dream watches, but I had found something that was timeless, got a great deal, I had peace of mind that it was authentic, and got great customer service from the initial inquiry through the completion of the transaction. Eddie in turn got a customer for life who asks way too many questions. read more

Modern Swiss - My new-to-me Rolex GMT Master II ref. 116710LN. So crisp. - Watches Near Me - Los Angeles, California

My wife got a great bonus for 35 years at her job. She decided that a Rolex would be a great way to have a long term, tangible reward for that milestone. After a bit of shopping for new watches, we decided that in order to get what she really wanted ... not just a basic stainless steel Rolex... We would need to buy used. When spending a lot of money, it is a bit scary due to fakes and scams. We found several watches that she loved for sale on line, but decided to deal w Modern Swiss because of great reviews and Eddie's prompt replies and honest answers to our questions. Upon receipt of the watch, we had it checked out by a Rolex dealer, and found that it was exactly as described... authentic and in great condition. Eddie's follow up was great, and he made certain that we were fully satisfied. I truly feel that we now have "a friend in the jewelry business". I would unequivocally recommend Modern Swiss when you are in the market for a quality pre-owned watch. Chip in Texas read more

I had been doing some research and after years decided to go for it. Eddie was very patient and resourceful in explaining everything to make sure I get the right watch. It took me a while to decide what I want. I went to the rolex store to make sure & then I knew 100% what I wanted. He can source new watches as well and has great prices. It can be quite nerve wrecking when you're about to spend so much money and make sure you are not stuck with a lemon since you're not buying from the store. Eddie was honest, worked with me an gave me assurance that if there are any issues I could contact him at anytime. I love my watch. Its simple, stunning and I feel like a million bucks when Im wearing it. Couldnt be happier. Thanks so much Eddie!! read more

My wife and I were looking for a watch for our daughter. I checked the local stores (Resellers). I checked on eBay, and a few jewelry stores. We came across Modern Swiss up in LA. I inquired, on a Sunday, no less about a watch. Eddie was very professional and timely with his response. He got right back to me and said he could send photos Monday. He did just that and after speaking to Eddie, we upgraded my purchase, no pressure at all, he just offered up a few different upgrades. He sent a payment and We had the watch in a few days. The watch is amazing. It is very clean, and tight. Looks new really. He also did a service on it and sent in a really nice box. My wife and I opened the box and we were very impressed. (We each have several watches). Needless to say, We are a fan and will defiantly do more business with Eddie. In this day and age where customer service is seriously lacking, Eddie is a standout with incredible service and very high quality work. Thanks very much for a incredible watch. We are very impressed. read more

Eddie has taken care of me on a number of occasions. I keep coming back to him because of his honesty, great personal attention, and the best prices ever. I am so thankful to know him. In the past I've left $50,000 in watches for service and never even take a receipt when dropping them off....I'm that comfortable with the business relationship we have. His word and a handshake are more than enough for me. I've called him from out of town in the past, on short notice, needing a Rolex or some other luxury brand of watch for a gift, and all he says is don't worry....then it's taken care of. At the same time, I receive the same top notch service for something as simple as having a watch battery replaced or a band adjusted. In today's world this type of customer service is so rare it's almost non existent. I am truly blessed to know Eddie and would never even think of shopping anywhere else. BOB K Los Angeles read more

This review has been a long time coming (Sorry for the delay Eddie)! This past December I was on the hunt for a Rolex watch as a Christmas and 5 year anniversary gift for my girlfriend. A Rolex date just, stainless steel, black face, diamond bezel, etc. - This was my mission with only a couple weeks to make it happen. keep in mind I'm a watch guy myself and have a few Rolex's of my own, so I know the process. After making calls and searching the net for reviews I fortunately ran into Modern Swiss! All the reviews below in regards to customer service were understated. Eddie was amazing! He helped me through the process, had what I was searching for at the best price I had seen yet. He also gave me a number of options to chose from, in regards to age of the watch and an option for an updated diamond bezel at a very small increase. The watch came with a great looking box, clean and polished, High quality diamonds sparkling with force! The watch was super clean, in great shape, 100% Authentic (except for the updated diamond bezel - which I asked for) and made my girlfriend one happy camper come Christmas morning! The service was fantastic - Eddie answered every question (I sent a lot) with nothing but honest answers and genuine kindness. He is 100% legit. Eddie sold me as a long time customer with his pricing, merchandize and services. I will always come to him first to buy, sell or inquire about any of my watches from this point forward. If you are considering buying a high quality pre-owned Rolex or other, I highly recommend using Modern Swiss, These guys will take care of you and won't disappoint. I can't say enough good about Eddie and the wonderful service I received. My husband and I purchased a Ladies Datejust with a diamond bezel. The watch is in perfect condition and is perfect for me. He helped my husband pick the right one with a bit of education on Rolex items. That was above and beyond any service we have ever received with a jeweler. He sent my watch quicker than promised, with a book and box. I needed more links due to it being a bit small and he overnighted them along with an insurance appraisal. I would not hesitate to do business with him again. read more
