The clinician called me to ask if I could come in early and I said yes hoping to be feeling better but as I began to work on some things at home I felt worse and worse. (I just found out I have Covid). I attempted to reschedule through Vagaro, but because my appointment was less than six hours away, the system would not allow me to do so. I called the salon and was informed by a staff member that I would be charged a $10 cancellation fee despite being sick and wanting to reschedule rather than cancel outright. Since my service was only an underarm wax, the fee amounted to approximately 40% of the total service cost. I asked whether an exception could be made given the circumstances, but was told it was the "manager's policy." The response felt very scripted and lacked any empathy for the situation. I ultimately agreed to pay the fee, but asked that the manager be informed they had lost a customer over $10. Unfortunately, the experience became even more disappointing. The manager, Sarah, called me after I had already explained that I was sick and wanted to discuss the situation. I was really not feeling well and did not appreciate receiving a call to discuss this further. I told the manager that, because I wasn't feeling well, the only discussion I was interested in having was whether the cancellation fee would be refunded. Instead of addressing my concern, Sarah ended the call abruptly by HANGING UP ON ME. I understand that businesses have cancellation policies, but customer service and compassion matter. A little flexibility for a client who woke up sick and was trying to reschedule, not avoid paying, would have gone a long way. Instead, I was charged a fee that represented a significant portion of the service cost and was treated in a way that ensured I won't be returning. If you book here, just be aware that if you wake up sick on the day of your appointment, you should expect the cancellation fee to be enforced regardless of the circumstances.

They send you a text reminder, and you must cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid a fee. One special thing to note is if you book a service that's at least an hour, you receive a complimentary foot soak as long if you arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. This was a nice touch. When I arrived, Cristina, from the front desk walked me to their quiet room, which has the ultimate relaxation vibes. She was amazing! Absolutely atrocious. I walk in, no customers are present, I felt happy that I didn't need to wait so long. There is one employee present, with a low, disgruntled voice who isn't very welcoming. She tells me to sit down on the chair and asked how I wanted my hair, I was very specific with how i wanted my hair done and the number clips. She completely ignores me and throughout the whole entire cut she is yapping on a call through her fake, knock off airpods. I was very ticked off and was very disappointed with my haircut. I paid her a $20 bill, for a $15 haircut, I asked for $1's in changed which would add up to $5 in change, she replies to me that she ran out when I clearly saw more than 5 $1 bills. I was confused, but she gave me a $5 bill in change and since I only had one bill, 8 ended up giving it to her as change. $20 wasted on a really shitty haircut with her shitty service. That was honestly very disappointing, because we went there to feel relaxed. All she did was file, clean, remove calluses on only two of the pedicures, and paint our nails that's it. I could have done all of that at home. What shocked me the most is how this place thinks it's okay to scam customers for their own convenience. The price really caught me off guard, so I went online to check their menu and here on Yelp to see how much they charge for a regular pedicure versus gel. And I noticed they upcharged me for their convenience. Their Yelp page and website say a gel pedicure is around $42 but I got charged $50 each.
