I would recommend them to anyone looking to do any custom work. The whole process from John coming over and listening to us and sketching drawings of the work to receiving the unit and having the installers come over to do there thing was a great experience. Its refreshing to have 'old school craftsmen' doing work like this in the era of big box stores and corporate outlets. Thanks Little Wolf.

However, great value for high-quality work and materials! The owner Zee, being very involved, is calm, cool and collected because he has great knowledge and experience. His team of construction professionals are top notch too! Manhattan Cabinets, working in high stress NYC CO-OP's, is the most stress-free experience possible! They handle everything, including permitting and communication with all levels of the project they're working on! My wife and I give them five stars!

I have used Manhattan Cabinetry twice. Once was several years ago for an individual custom cabinet…read morein my bathroom, and most recently I used them for my entire kitchen and bathroom custom cabinets. They are literally the BEST if you are looking for incredibly craftsmanship and a real partner in design. My kitchen is very small and their ability to maximize the storage and at the same time the beauty of the space is beyond amazing. I have 2x the storage space that I had in the kitchen before the renovation and the aesthetic that was accomplished is just beautiful. The bathroom cabinet had to be small but the size of the storage space in the 2 drawers was completely maximized by the drawer design around the pipes underneath. they did this with my previous cabinet and I LOVED it and the storage is what is in a large hall closet now. So I was able to accomplish this again with their extreme measurements and partnership with my contractor and myself for design. Mark worked with me both times for wood and style of cabinets and countertops and was professional and understanding - but he was very exacting - and if you are paying for custom cabinets I dont know about you but I wanted someone exacting and the results speak to it. Tommy as the building forman was also exacting and came and measured 2x to make sure that it all worked and that it was customized outside and INSIDE the cabinets to maximize the space. I loved how exacting he was as well - again the results speak to this. Joanne was my contact thru the process and she was WONDERFUL to work with - a great sense of humor, understanding in coordinating with a male contractor, male cabinet maker and male sales person!!! She was terrific and helped everyone work in concert - and again the results are just fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend Manhattan Cabinetry IF you are looking for a custom, high craftsmanship, maximization of space and BEAUTIFUL cabinet experience. I specifically went to them because of the INSIDE custom design and the maximization of my space while NEVER sacrificing the beauty of the outside. But know that they are exacting and specific in their conversations and suggestions with you and will not compromise what they are doing for you by rushing the measurements before the contracting work is ready. They also keep you in the loop every step of the way and will make it right if there is something you are concerned about during or even after the process. GREAT company and people! Again HIGHLY recommend them!

Your worst nightmare! My friend's Murphy bed unit purchased and installed by Manhattan Cabinetry…read morecame right off the wall when pulling down the bed one night. Literally, the unit came off the wall and nearly killed the person pulling the bed down (had he not jumped out of the way). Upon inspection by the building superintendent, it was determined the unit was not installed correctly. The unit's nails went into dry wall, that's it! When the company was notified of this horrific situation, they abdicated all responsibility. They believe that since the unit was installed several years ago before they took over the company, they should not bear any responsibility. Total refusal to do anything! Of course, as you can see by the company's website and promotional materials, they do believe they have the right to leverage the former management's legacy/name/reputation, just without any responsibility. Stay away from these greedy people!

The cabinets hold an amazing amount of weight, clean up really easily, and look fabulous!!! Due to bad walls in our apartment, I was concerned that the cabinetry wasn't anchored in properly. They certainly didn't have to do anything all these years later, given that it was the wall that was the issue, but they sent an installer who completely removed the cabinet, and re-installed just to be sure. Talk about standing behind your product!!!! I can't imagine not wanting to use them. Can't recommend highly enough!

I had the pleasure of meeting Chandler Smith Colbert at the Bilotta A & D Showroom in Manhattan. I…read moreperused the cabinet styles and decided to include Bilotta as one of three to bid on our kitchen. Chandler impressed me with his attention to detail, gut feel for which design elements would and would not work and why, and consideration for the style of our home...he opened our eyes to new possibilities. He is an honest design professional who designs for beauty and functionality. For example: Adding 3" thick ends to the big island to add gravitas instead of what was drawn as a thin end panel...the proportions would be right and it would accommodate electrical outlets. He cares enough to get every detail perfect that before finalizing the plan he made a house call to walk the space, so to speak....a very helpful exercise as it led to some changes. This impressed us. In the end, the Bilotta kitchen would cost more given our big kitchen. But for a condo/apartment size kitchen in NYC, the price difference should be less. Chandler is talented and worthy of consideration to design and lead your project.

When they (finally) acknowledged me, they sent another invoice for an obscene amount-to repair their work that I had already paid for. Disgusting. A true disappointment. Would not recommend. I wanted to be sure we had the right team and we spoke to many of the contractors here and got a few quotes. We spoke to a lot of good folks but there was something about Mike and Angel when they came to look at the space. My wife is a great cook and had some practical kitchen wishes and I wanted a pocket door, so the powder room door would no longer swing into the dining room. Sounds simple but I heard a lot of reasons why not. Really? Not Mike; easy, he said. And it was, or at least it seemed so. And not only did they do what we wanted, they did what we needed and did not know. Like hiding heating pipes we had lived with for years. The workmanship and clean finish they brought to the simplest things; even two weeks after completion we continue find neat little touches to please and amaze us. In the end the job came out better then we could have ever imagined. My wife had to go back and update her dreams to catch up with the new reality. As if that wasn't enough, these are some of the nicest guys you will ever meet and frankly we missed them after they were done.
