My original contract was $702.24 and for the following services: Early Spring - 118.56 Spring - 100.80 Early Summer - 87.84 Summer - 87.84 Late Summer - 30.72 Grub control- 132.48 Late season aeration - 144.00 (we later changed this to aeration and overseeding after Ryan came out to look at our lawn and were given a price of 326.40 for prepaying.) When looking at our history on our account, the names of the applications are different and prices changed. For example, we were charged 87.84 for late summer instead of 30.72 that was listed on the original contract. We did not have a winterizer in our original contract and were charged additional for that. The early summer was not done. Summer application was skipped. I had to reach out in May to even get the first application started. It should have been done in April. The worst part was when the aeration and overseeing was supposed to be done, I watched on our security cameras 2 techs who walked my property, placed a sign at the end of the driveway indicating it was completed, when in fact it was not. The excuse I was given was that the one tech was deployed. I thank him for his service, but why would he place a sign indicating the service was done when it was not? The figures are all over the place and it seems almost intended to confuse the customer. I feel like I've been playing a game of Follow the Bouncing Ball and am losing. I have worked with 2 other providers for many years and never had such a horrible experience. I definitely will not be returning next year.

in 2024 i requested Modern Pests services to help with bats in my attic. they responded well and…read moreinstalled 1 way bat traps on my roof. the issue came with the removal. i would check the portal to see removal services scheduled only to find no one came out or there was snow on my roof and couldn't remove the traps (understandable) a year and a half later a tech came out to remove the traps. a few days later my wife asks what is in the front yard? it was the removed bat traps just thrown on my front lawn. when i went to check the roof for the traps there was still a trap in my roof. not only did they not perform the full removal but they left trash on my front lawn. i wrote to modern pest who just quietly scheduled another bat trap removal with the same tech who left trash on my lawn the first time. when i called them directly i wasn't able to speak to a manager on duty at all. No manager contacted me prior to just scheduling another removal even though the report the tech wrote out stated he removed all traps the first time. so clearly they were aware of my issue before scheduling another removal appointment and just never bothered to reach out to apologize or anything.

I have now initiated a civil suit. Also try contacting Terminix. They have a national answering service that supposedly relays message to the state office. But Terminix does not have an office in Maine. They are represented in Augusta by an intermediary firm. There are plenty of reliable pest control services in Maine. AVOID TERMINIX.
