I went there to get a design done, short and almond. The design had a lot of colors but I felt it wasn't very intricate. The colors were supposed to be pastel, and obviously in the picture it shows they aren't. The worker barely listened to me and then charged me $80.

This is what I asked for
    Siearra B.

I went in here and showed them a picture of exactly what I wanted, he took it upon himself to give me coffin shaped nails after I specifically showed him I wanted square, and then proceeded to charge me $20 extra for coffin shape that I did not ask for, these people do not listen to you when you speak, they do whatever they want, find a nail tech that actually listens to you!! I would give them zero stars if I could. They are not even at all, and the paint looks like crap!!

The shape is awful and I asked for the $25 set and they charged me $35. Did not take the time to shape them. The thumbs are a good example of this lazy work. Every nail looks different.. can't wait to take these off what a waste of money.

doesn't answer their phone... the nail salons in this city really do a poor job of running their businesses.

They were speaking in a language that I don't speak but I could understand some of what they were say. I kept saying what we both wanted and to pick a color. Once we walked to chose our color they said just go to the pedicure chairs. Once sitting down they ask if we want to upgrade and I said no. I then asked if they have latex free gloves and they didn't know what kind they use. I asked to see the box and it says latex and I said I can't use use them as I'm very allergic to latex. I then asked can he do without the gloves and then another person who speaks and understands English and said NO. Meanwhile, I said I can't be in the room as I don't want to breath any latex and I went to my car. The person doing my grand daughters nails rushed doing her pedicure. There was no filing, shaping or calcus scrubbing done. Total time for her pedicure was just over 15 minutes. She chose white for the polish and it looks awful as you can see tiny little bumps on the polish. My grand daughter was very upset and tried to tell the worker how bad it was but said she all finish. Once my grand daughter got home her mother called the nail sail and wanted to speak to the manager. Once my daughter started to speak to another person and they hung up on her. She called back and they wouldn't answer the phone. I would never ever recommend this place to anyon! This nail salon deserves a -1!

I liked it a lot and got lots of compliments. My next visit was after the quarantine. Lots of hair. Decided to change the style and brought in another photo. Perfect cut, especially as we are preparing to go into a different style. It looked GREAT! I love it. It's so easy to take care of, run brush through it and go. I may just forget about a future style. I can confidently recommend Donna's for hair and am looking forward to taking advantage of the other services soon.

After a disasterous morning of trying to find somewhere to get a mani/pedi that didn't result in a giant wait, I found this place on Yelp and gave them a call. They had open appointments for a mani/pedi, which I scheduled for 2p. Within an hour or so of booking,I got a call back asking if I could come in tomorrow instead. I told them no, and they said "Okay, well if you don't hear back from us, everything will be fine". Not a great start, but after my rough morning, I was just glad to have an appointment. The place was nice inside- decorated in a Pinterest- inspired fashion. Marilyn Monroe posters, crystal chandeliers, soft seaform paint colors, etc. When I got there, it looked like the owner was the only person on staff, with a client in her chair. She mentioned my nail tech was on her way in. She showed up on time, and we proceeded to the nail area. It had some clothes for sale hanging on a rack in the nail area, which I thought was a bit strange, but whatever. The nail tech, who was VERY nice and personable, mentioned that since I wanted regular polish and not shellac, my options were pretty limited. They did not have any "french" type manicure colors. I settled on a color and sat down to get started. She laid down some paper towels on top of the nail station (kinda lame). Not even a towel? She had been out for a few days, ill, so she had no idea where a lot of her supplies/tools were. She spent a lot of time hunting down the things she needed for the manicure and pedicure. She did a base coat, two coats of polish, and a top coat on my fingers, and then we moved on to the pedicure area. There were 2 pedicure chairs, and she gave a lot of attention to detail. They use a sugar scrub, a mask, and then massage with lotion. They are pretty aggressive with their cleaning- using alcohol, sanitizer, chlorine to clean out the pedicure tubs, etc. So if this is something you really care about, they're great about that. This entire process took 3 hours. Normally, I would put a mani pedi at 1.5-2 hours, and maybe that includes some wait time. I was so surprised that my 2pm appointment had me there until 5pm. My total? $75. Now, my mindset could have really impacted my review. Had I known that I was blocking out 3 hours of my day ahead of time for this, I would have had the right expectations up front about how long I'd be there. I'm still not sure if I'll be going back. tl; dr Place is nice if you'd like a more personal spa-type salon experience. Just set aside a lot of time for your appointment.

I drove from Saline MI, Columbus OH, so driving from Southfield isn't as far. Finding someone that understands that you just want a trim doesn't mean take inches off the back is harder than you think. Leslie knows how I like my hair and makes it happen. My hair is a little weirder than normal since I am half Cherokee. Leslie understands it. Her prices is more than fair, but she has always been busy with regulars, but now only able to work 3 days a week because of social distancing needed to keep everyone safe. She takes caring customer service seriously. Mask, cleaning station completely between customers. I was allowed to stay put while waiting for the color to set. Hair wash bowls usage is also spaced. While the salon has disposable masks for you to use if you don't have one or like me getting a color so it won't get on my own, I saw another customer no wearing a mask while being worked on by another stylist who even took his off. Lets hope the other stylists will get their act together since they can spread the coronavirus working so close. I took a star off for that. It is a community health issue not any thing else. Already got my next appointment booked. Will be back for Leslie to do her magic. EBS always loved how my hair looked since I always get it blow dried and that makes it even longer. The stylist are working longer days to get everyone in they can so don't believe the posted hours.
