The whole staff was super cool and even let us hang out with a dog. One if the guys even welcomed us back. All in all, solid store.

The holy grail of snowboards I think they have every brand of snowboard imaginable. But don't…read moreworry I'm about sorting through it to find your perfect board. Staff is there to help. Of all the winter sports stores this has the most amazing staff. They're kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. As always winter sports gear is expensive but you can trust Salty Peaks isn't going to have any unnecessary mark ups.

Extremely disappointed. We ordered what was presented as a legitimate product, only to receive a…read morepair of DC snow boots in very poor condition. The box was so aggressively over-taped that it ripped apart while opening, and the boots literally fell out. One boot was clearly a display model, visibly dirty, scuffed, and worn, showing obvious signs of being in and out of bindings and tried on countless times. After some digging, it appears this display boot dates back to around 2012, which makes this even more unacceptable. It still had an ink security tag attached, suggesting little to no quality control. When contacting customer service, the interaction was calm but completely unhelpful -the representative was disengaged and dismissive, offering no real solution. We were also told we'd have to send the boots back and wait for them to receive the return before any refund, which meant we couldn't afford to buy replacement boots in the meantime. Charging $140 for mismatched, outdated display boots and backing it up with poor customer support is misleading and unacceptable. This was meant to be a Christmas gift, and instead it turned into frustration and extra stress. I would not recommend this shop. Edit to add: The business responded stating I asked for an "80% discount with free shipping." What I actually asked was whether they would reasonably work with me on price after sending boots that were clearly used, damaged, and later identified as old display boots--without that being disclosed beforehand. A $40 discount on a $140 charge did not reflect the condition or age of the product. I'm adding this clarification so buyers have full context.

My wife and I visited Performance Longboarding this afternoon to purchase her first longboard. JJ…read morewas both helpful and patient while explaining the different types of decks, trucks, wheels, etc. It's apparent that he's been part of the skating community for a long time and is well versed when talking through the different options. In the end, we left as very satisfied customers with a newly built longboard, helmet, gloves, and skate tool. My wife is thrilled to learn how to ride. I may return to buy one here as well, as it was a great experience. A few things to know when you come here... The shop is tucked into a business ally. You may or may not be able to find parking nearer to the shop. If not, there is a spot to turn around and come back out onto the street. The shop itself is tucked more towards the back on the right-hand side. They sell longboards. If you're looking for a skateboard, you'll need to look elsewhere. Because it's a smaller shop they don't have as large of an accessories inventory as others might have, but if you're buying and assembling a longboard there, you'll likely receive a discount on accessories. ------ Update: I returned today and purchased another longboard. They were efficient building the board to my liking and patient as I tested a few different boards out. Dalton was there today and helped me out quite a bit. He was both friendly and able to clearly explain things to me. I like that this shop offers variety and carries high quality boarding supplies. P.S. They're expanding their store to include bikes. Sweet!

We called and thought it was an awesome idea for a Xmas present! So we looked at it online and went in to talk to Jared. Not knowing just how much goes into personal preference and my son just being a novice in how to set up boards, Jared walked my son through step by step even seeing him ride a board to help him with the customization of the board to suite his needs! As you can see, the board turned out amazing and I don't know that you can beat the price or the customer service for a 100% customized board designed for how you ride or want to ride! If it is something you think you might be interested in, I suggest you email them or go in to the shop! They will steer you through all the pitfalls so you can hit the board rolling in the best fashion! Thanks Jared and Drang for making my sons present such a bad A$$ on

Bought 4 olive wood aperitivo bowls ($40). As I checked out I asked gentleman if I could bring it back. "Yea before Jan 2" Here I am trying to return today. Turns out you only get store credit. Perhaps the cashier said that when I bought it? Doubtful given he struggled with the cash register and could only sent a text receipt. The return attempt was an unfriendly customer experience - especially at Christmas time. Shame on me for not pressing for clarification at point of sale - shame on them for having a lame return policy. Won't be back and will warn all I can to do the same. Caveat emptor!!!
