Since we had a Friday morning brunch wedding, he was also able to work with our budget and really make it happen for us. Once we booked with CSE Sean also sent us a username and password to our personalized online music planner. It was nice being able to put all the details of who was who, and pick what songs we wanted to be played. Also, the week of the wedding, Sean touched based, went over everything with us too which was much appreciated! Since we had a small wedding, I know it was difficult to get the party pumped up ( a Friday brunch wedding is also a little difficult). But, he played many of the songs we requested and others that were really perfectly along the lines of our wedding day feel- think Michael Buble. It was really nice because it didn't feel like just another wedding with a cheesy DJ. We consider ourselves to be very organized and when looking for vendors for our wedding we wanted to ensure that whomever we decided to go with was also very organized and detailed. Neither of us have attended many weddings so we were a little lost in the clouds with what to expect and what to look for when deciding on our reception's entertainment. After reading numerous reviews on how wonderfully detailed and organized Chris was, we thought we might have found a winner. After first meeting with Chris, we felt very at ease and relaxed as if we were just hanging out with a friend. Chris knows his music. Not just one genre either. He's a well-versed encyclopedia of all aspects of music. Chris was very receptive to our requests of the style of music we wanted to hear at our ceremony, the cocktail hour and the reception. While we both enjoy different types of music we were a little overwhelmed with which artists to go with and decided to trust Chris with the majority of the selections. We had a few "must play" songs which Chris made sure that we heard. Chris went above and beyond to ensure not only that we were happy but also to ensure that our guests were dancing and smiling the whole time. Our wedding had a few 90+ year olds and we were unsure if they would be able to get up and dance. However, Chris knew exactly what to play to bring them to the floor. Walkers and all, our grandparents were able to share the dance floor with us to create an unforgettable memory for our entire family. We also want to point out how punctual Chris is. We are very punctual people and we believe that if you're not early, you're late. Chris was always early. He always beat us to our meetings. We could go on and on for days about Chris' professionalism. I wanted to surprise my wife with a song that I wanted to play for her on acoustic guitar at the reception and Chris was not only happy to oblige, but was very excited to make it happen. We spoke on the phone over the weeks leading up to our big day. Chris walked me through the process of what equipment he was going to use and how he would introduce me to the reception. Chris was also accompanied by another DJ named Joe who was equally professional and kind. We met Joe the day of the reception and it felt like we knew him for many years. We were both completely at ease with our decision and had no worries about anything. We felt comfortable and relaxed and a big part of that was because he made sure everyone got to the dance floor, if even for just a few moments. Chris always greeted us with a warm smile and helped us create a timeline that coincided with our venue to make sure everything flowed properly. He wanted to save us from as much stress possible and requested the contact information of all of our vendors so he could speak directly with the venue about the schedule for the day-of timelines, the videographers about microphones, officiant about speeches and introductions, etc. We cannot express how grateful we were to not have to be the middleman and just provide Chris with names and phone numbers and wait for his "everyone's on the same page" email! Our venue expressed how easy and flawless it was working with Chris and that some other DJs cause them headaches. Chris seemed to make the day go easy and smoothly for everyone involved. We also went with a Photobooth through Futurescapes Entertainment and Chris was able to use our wedding template which was created specifically for our wedding. This ensured everything was cohesive throughout our entire wedding. If you're looking for a DJ who knows his craft, understands the business and is eager to please then Futurescapes Entertainment is hands down the best choice you can make. All initial communications went through Jane, the contracts were super easy to read (including all specifications for the venue and day-of the event), and the payments were easy to make. Once we were assigned our DJ, our communication for the actual day of the event all went through her. DJ Mareshah did a great job and was incredibly kind and easy to work with! We had an introduction call to make sure that we both felt it was a good fit (it was!) and she had a similar taste in music to my now husband. We used the Stylus DJ Entertainment planning spreadsheets and were able to lay out the music for the entire event. She talked us through what types of songs we should be thinking about for each part of the event and we were able to take that information and put together a great list. In terms of vendor coordination, she coordinated directly with our venue vendors and planners for the arrival the night of the event. DJ Mareshah was able to get all of the songs that we requested to have on hand and did an incredible job with the logistics, formalities, and announcements. I am BIG BIG into music - a huge fan of 80-90s rock and an electric guitarist myself (aspiring :)) so when it came to finding an artist that truly could capture this love for music, my fiance and I were very very intentional. AND it is run by a bad ass artist named Jane who is a musical genius on top of being a kind soul. Her and her staff care deeply about their work and the art they make. Collaboration: Jane was so intentional in our planning process in incorporating our musical perspective and opinions as we built playlists on playlists together for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception - shifting between genres and vibes. Simultaneously, I will say however, we could just simply give her a vibe like Goo Goo Dolls and Hootie & the Blowfish and she could create a welcome playlist that seemed to read our minds - deeply resonating with me and the songs I cherished from my family and childhood without me even having to list them for her. I still listen to this playlist at work and on runs because it so resonated with me. Art Form: Jane did it ALL, spinning vinyl, MC'ing, and digital DJ'ing. She spun vinyl for our colorful vinyl cocktail hour bringing her own cherished vinyl records to the wedding. The vinyl cocktail hour was a deep tribute to 80s rock/pop. To find someone who cared more for 80s rock/pop than I did I didn't think was possible - until I met Jane. She curated a cocktail hour that had our guests reminiscing on their past shouting "I LOVE ZEPPELIN." She spun surrounded by my paintings, and it was just art surrounded by art. She also MC'd our wedding in the most graceful and loving fashion, seamlessly transitioning us between dances and toasts. She ended the night digital DJ'ing the dance portion of our reception incorporating both my and my fiance's wide range of tastes from Rufus Du Sol to Marc Anthony. As I said - Jane and her staff are musical geniuses and so well versed in all genres. I know this because I got to see Jane work and I got to see her colleague work at my sister's wedding too.
