Called, spoke directly to Arman Antanyan (main person who performs these procedures) and set up an appointment, I thought it would be for initial evaluation but he said they could perform the procedure on that same visit. Since there weren't that many reviews (and none mentioning the procedure I needed), and Arman Antanyan is not licensed as an MD in the US, I asked some questions about his training in the procedure, the clinic's success rate with it, and how many times he'd performed it in the past. I got either no answer or vague answers from him to all of these questions. For the last one, once I asked it Arman said he was seeing a patient and I should call later in the day, then when I called after the time he specified it went to voicemail and I left a message asking how many times he'd done the procedure, and when I called an hour later (still during business hours) it went straight to voicemail, and then an hour after that I got a text from the same clinic # from "Lizzy" saying that they were canceling my appointment because "Our doctors had a discussion and came to a conclusion" that this procedure would "not be effective in your case" based on my medical history - A TOTAL LIE. I'd done all explaining of my medical history during the first phone call when I set up the appointment, they were happy to set it up at that point and only canceled after I started asking questions. TLDR: Clinic canceled appointment after not being able to answer questions about training, experience and success rates, made up lies to justify canceling the appointment. Extremely shady. Do not trust them with your body.

I put them in my shoes and use them every day. They lasted more than a year and it helped my back to heal and not get inflamed like they used to get. I was especially hesitant to move forward with an epidural due to a traumatic experience I had in the past while I was pregnant and in labor at a different facility with another physician. So here it goes: Gather round, my friends, it's story time. So without divulging my entire medical history, I will share with my fellow Yelpers that I, Margo "Yelp-go", have EDS (has nothing to do with ED and everything to do with chronic pain) I have been to SO many pain management doctors (around 6) and after a bad experience at Risser Orthopedic (don't worry, I'll get to that review later) I decided to search for the Dr that led me to go to Risser in the first place (*cue the music*) Dr Moradian! I had seen Dr Moradian briefly around 7 yrs prior after a car accident, at Risser. He was kind, professional and after 5 other pain management doctors later, definitely more skilled. (Yes, I will publicly shame these past practices at a later date. Your girl's trying to stay positive here) When I returned to Risser, I asked to see Dr Moradian and was told he was no longer there. Obviously, I created a false narrative that he retired young and was traveling the Bahamas in happiness and that he was no longer an option for me. So fast forward to me having enough of the disappointment with Risser. (I'm talking about them randomly changing appointments on me without letting me know and literally calling me for a phone appointment when my poor grandma was dying in a hospital and then charging me for not being available despite not ever scheduling me for that day. Then mix in Evelyn with the attitude...) I digress, I was just done. I felt like I was starting from ground zero and decided I would just google Dr Moradian. I guess I thought, "hmm, maybe he's retired but has a a twin with the same career and professionalism". I'm so glad I did because *BAM* I found him (in hindsight I should have just started with this, but hey, you live and you learn) When I called to schedule, he wasn't available. An invisible tear fell from my face. The lady on the other line recommended that I try his colleague Dr Vartanian. I admit, I was hesitant but figured he had to be "okay" if he was with Dr Moradian. I was RIGHT (and a little wrong) because Dr Vartanian is amazing! *confetti emoji* He's not only the most gentle Trigger Point Injector (again, I've had this done by now 7 drs.) but he's also compassionate towards his patients and encourages a plan towards maintaining mobility for a rewarding life. I'll admit I was a little skeptical after living with chronic pain for so long but I do think the…read morelaser treatment really worked! There is also some cool new research backing it and I'm hoping the research will continue because it seems like a very promising option for both pain and neuropathy. I had my first session last week. I have hypermobile EDS, a connective tissue disorder which causes things to pop out of place and just general muscle/joint pain. For me it most commonly causes a lot of tension and pain in my upper shoulders and neck, which I get physical therapy for every three weeks and which contributes to my chronic migraines. Last week I had my first laser session after my rheumatologist recommended Dr Kraft, saying it helped another EDS patient of hers. I had just had a session of PT and recently other treatments that have helped a lot, so my pain was only at about a 3 or 4 out of 10 at the time. The day after treatment I felt a little more sore which they warned may happen since there may be some initial exasperated inflammation in the healing process, but then the following day I had no pain at all which is still the case 5 days later! It is very rare for me to have no pain let alone for 5 days. Very cool! I also have this very annoying tingling in my hands and feet that he says is probably small fiber neuropathy. He did the one hand that is worse due to a previous surgery, and I have in fact had very little tingling in that arm since! I came back for a session today as it had been prescheduled, we just did my hands and legs this time since my shoulders are pain-free, and he recommended I cancel the upcoming appts and just call to schedule as needed since I may get long lasting relief after responding to treatment so well- possibly even a couple months! Pretty incredible that 15 min of laser treatment can have those effects. For anyone curious about the process- it's a warm sensation like a blow dryer (not painful). Afterward the first session I weirdly felt SO exhausted for the rest of the day. As mentioned the next day I was more sore but manageable- maybe a level 5 or 6. Then the next day voila , the pain was gone! Full disclaimer which they discuss during the appt- I think I responded way quicker than most people do. He mentioned EDS patients for some reason tend to respond quicker than other types of pain, but even so a lot of people need a few sessions before they see results . So if you give it a shot (which you definitely should, what's there to lose!) don't expect to see results right away. Dr Kraft and all the ladies are so nice and it is so amazing that the visits were covered by insurance (I have anthem blue shield PPO). They can also get you in on pretty short notice and I really appreciated that he recommended cancelling the scheduled twice weekly appointments and coming in as needed since I responded so well-they could've just had me keep coming to make money but it's clear the goal is really just trying to get people's pain reduced and they're happy to modify the plan at any point based on individual needs.
