Bad experience overall with scars to remember it by. Stay away!! Update: I did contact the establishment again and was told they would follow-up with me, it's been 2 weeks. My skin condition was actually pretty good over all, except for a recent tan and hyperpigmentation. The staff member whom I consulted with recommended a series of Helix Cool Peel treatments, claiming "there is minimal downtime, just a little red for a day or two" and that 3 peels would "almost completely take care of all the problems." No legitimate skincare professional should make that promise to anyone, let alone to a patient with darker skin where chemical peels carry a documented, well-known risk of making pigmentation significantly worse. She then enticed me with a limited-time "special discount." Thinking I would miss it, I fell for the scheme and hastily accepted the deal. After the procedure came the aftercare instructions. There was no real mention of sunscreen, which is the single biggest omission, regardless of the client's skin color. They failed to mention that the controlled micro-damage to the skin barrier leaves it significantly more hypersensitive to the sun, requiring more protection than usual, not less. A competent, up-to-date with research professional treating darker skin types would have specified SPF 50+ tinted sunscreen with iron oxides. These are critical for protection against visible light, which disproportionately triggers pigmentation in darker skin types. Instead, they said to avoid the sun and left it at that. Being huge on sunscreen, I followed my usual routine plus wore a hat, mask, and sunglasses. I didn't know it, but these precautions were barely keeping the worst effects at bay during this period. On one sunny afternoon, a couple of weeks after my last peel, I removed my hat and mask for about half an hour during a special outing to take photos. I had applied EltaMD tinted sunscreen earlier anyway. Hours later, I caught my reflection. My medium brown skin had turned muddy brown -- visibly off, the way a person looks when they're pink all over from a bad sunburn. Luckily, Dr Panzer's office was only about ten minutes from me. I stopped by without an appointment, not realizing walk-ins are not really accepted even though some of their online listings make it seem that way. To clarify, there are two separate medical offices in the same building, and only one side is Dr Panzer's practice where he handles FAA exams. The other side is unrelated. Even without an appointment, they were kind enough to fit me in. I waited a short time since another patient ahead of me needed extra attention, which was understandable. The nurse who took my vitals and Dr Panzer himself were both professional and courteous. The entire experience was smooth and welcoming. I left feeling genuinely satisfied and relieved to have found a good FAA medical examiner nearby. Highly recommend this place to any pilot who needs their FAA medical done right.

It started with a miscommunication between the doctor and the office on surgery scheduling and the nurse was extremely rude to me when I already confirmed with the doctor. Second and more importantly, Dr. Dobranksy did not communicate or educate well AT ALL and had poor bedside manners when asked questions. I had a broken nose and showed a picture and was told (since going through INS and not cosmetic) that "the hardest thing to do is straighten a broken nose" but then said "I could do it though". I should have done more research myself, but naively thought I would be guided and educated by the doctor. He made my cry right before my surgery after showing a picture again, was so rude during my post op follow up/his nurse was EXTREMELY rude and my nose looked EXACTLY the same (nothing like the picture I showed where his words were exactly "I can get you to that"). He simply should have said, I can't do what you are asking for ... I felt scammed with his miscommunication, dishonesty and lack of education to the patient. I had surgery for no reason. His staff was extremely rude throughout a hard process (as it is dealing with your face) AND to top it off - they never called my medication in before surgery, he said there was no stitches on the outside of my face and after leaving I realized THERE WAS anddddd they didn't follow up ONCE post surgery...insane and terrible experience all around.
