Look this one is long overdue…read more.. I've been coming to Dr. Reich for parts of 5 months now. His office was recommended to me by my primary dentist. I was having some issues with my gums. Originally thought it was related to the Invisalign on my upper gum. Apparently not. Can't say that flossing has been very easy for me over the years. But after a few oral procedures on my gums I finally got cleared. Thanks to the hygienist named Beth, who always gave me different gadgets to try every time I came in. Even giving me a crash course on using some of those items. Going forward, will still have to come here every 3 months for that deep cleaning that isn't offered at my primary dentist. This takes a few visits for upper and lower gums. If you need a periodontist I do highly recommend this one. This is a small office. Waiting area currently allows for only 5 people. And yes, one still has to wear their masks inside.

He also did two implants on the bottom. This is an update. Today he removed the upper arch to made sure everything is doing well. The point is that his care during and after is simply extraordinary. I also want to recommend his office if you need a cleaning. I had the pleasure of meeting Dental Hygienist Beth. She spent an hour cleaning my upper arch, explaining what she is doing and why while explaining how to proceed at home. I still have most of my natural teeth in my lower arch so there are other concerns. She took time to explain what I needed to do to keep those teeth healthy. She also introduced me to several tools to use at home and gave me samples to take home to get me started. This was the best cleaning I have EVER got in my entire life. Also, I was treated with a topical anesthetic which has never happened before. It made the treatment easier for me than ever. Everyone at Middlesex Periodontics and Implants are great people at what they do, done with compassion and great care. You will never have a better dental experience than in this office!

If you have anything done, be sure to ask questions up front about billing codes and such. They will try to overcharge and collect for it.

Be careful with their promises…read more I had my implant installed by Dr Prabhu, and the crown on it was placed by my dentist (they do not do crowns at Oral Surgery Group). After a while the crown started to wobble. I came back to Dr Prabhu in hope that he would offer a quick fix to me. Initially he told me that he would just clean the assembly, but then he realized that it was too contaminated, and the implant has to be reinstalled. He told me that the whole job would be at no additional cost to me. He told me that he would do the implant reinstallation without charging me anything and he would reimburse my dentist for a new crown. Indeed he reinstalled my implant at no cost. However, when I had submitted to him a bill for a crown from my dentist (which I paid by myself), he stopped communicating with me. He does not reply to my calls or answer my numerous emails. I don't know if a verbal promise is legally binding, but it clearly would be more difficult for me to prove that he gave me that promise.

And, truly, every person I encountered, from scheduling the appointment to the financial person, was kind and caring. Weirdly, this oral surgery was the highlight of my day! This is mainly due to the warm, welcoming, supportive environment that I've just left. Since we're in the middle of a pandemic, of course, the office has to take precautions, and they did: they take your temperature, you must fill out a form with such questions as, "Do you have a runny nose or sore throat," and everything is wiped down appropriately -- even the clipboard with the paperwork on it after I'd touched it. During the extraction, I realized that Dr. Engel must have a background in education in some way, because he explained everything so well. I also appreciated that he made a point of reassuring me during the surgery. "Doing good," he said. "It's going well." After the surgery was done, I was led to a patient recovery area where I sat for half an hour or so, and was given gauze and after-care instructions. I wish I could remember the names of all the kind staff members who took care of me, but here are some of them: Dr. Engel, Althea, Faiza, Denise, Kelly, Melissa, and Caroline. Even during a pandemic and behind masks, the compassion and warmth of the staff came through, and for that, I am grateful.
