Warning! They use the $59 and whitening as a come-on, and they try to scare the heck out of you and sell you on Invisalign! Luckily, my best friend is a retired dentist. I got a second opinion from him and another dentist, and they were shocked that the recommendation was to pull out healthy teeth and then close the gap with Invisalign. Plus, the woman said I had all of these bad cavities, which was not true. I have gone to two other dentists since and neither even recommended a filling for these alleged "Cavities" I don't know if there is a Hippocratic Oath for dentistry, but this place disregards it. It is the ultimate violation of trust to recommend procedures a patient does not need. What happened to Do No Harm? Truly horrible business practices. The front staff is very nice at least, and at least they sent me my xrays, so they deserve one star for this. I hate to leave such a negative review, but people need to be warned about this place. read more

Last month I had a not so good visit with the staff at this dentist. Dr. Saeghi and Dr. Perlin are amazing! When I left that day I made up my mind to never go back and to start searching for a new dentist. Dr. Saeghi wasn't in that day and found out what happened and reached out to my husband and I. He invited us to return to his office to discuss what happened. During our conversation he had his staff apologize and he too apologized. You can tell that he was very upset and felt really bad for what had happened. My husband and I appreciate his concern and thank him for taking the time to sit with us to go over what had happened that day. We will continue to go to his office. =) read more

Beware! This dentist will waste your time with multiple appointments, never actually giving you the treatment that you have come for. Definitely don't get trapped by the flyers for free exam or the certificates that they have hired promoting companies to sell for them! This dentist office will defraud you and tell you that you need work done that is not needed simply to make money.They will also offer you loans through NBT bank to help you pay, however they will not tell you the true terms of the loan, so make sure that you read every document, don't allow them to tell you they are submitted documents electronically & that they will be mailed to you, because they won't be. I realized the scam that was happening at this dentists office, however not before I had my wisdom teeth taken out, and realized it was done by their hygienist. I cancelled the remaining work and requested they refund the monies to NBT bank, it took nearly 3 months of continuous calls to them as well as to NBT bank to get them to refund the money. Meanwhile, the account they told me would be interest free as long as I paid it off within a year, was accumulating 23% interest, not at all interest free as they claimed, and this argument with both companies is now affecting my credit. My nightmare began when I received a free teeth whitening certificate from a girlfriend, and I made the appointment at this ethically challenged office, they told me I had to complete an exam first and then told me I needed various types of work, some of which I had already had done at my dentist, but they stated my dentist was lying to me and not properly treating me, and they never even honored the certificate that they sold my friend. If you're looking for a dental office that's honest, ethical with the ability to uphold the standards expected of a dentist, this is definitely NOT the office for you! I strongly urge you to seek elsewhere, or be prepared to be told like everyone else that visits their office, that you have infected wisdom teeth that must be removed and/or you also require deep cleaning to avoid gum disease, this is the $3-4 thousand dollar package that was sold to me and everyone I saw there in my multiple visits to the office. This is by far the best dentistry I've been to! I've been reading the comments on their Yelp page from previous years but please do not let that get in the way. I called to make an appointment last Monday to get a check up and remove something from my teeth that had been stuck. The receptionist was so friendly she invited me to come in right then and there! So I came in and the doctor checked me out and removed the thing that was stuck in my teeth. They then scheduled me for a cleaning Friday and that was again a great visit! The office is clean, air conditioned, welcoming, and has really great vibes. The dentist also answered all my questions throughly and nicely which is always nice :) Today I received a welcome & thank you card from the office and I thought that was GREAT customer service! I came in because my girlfriend had bought a whitening package for 50 dollars, which is how they get you through the door. I went for my first visit and everything was going seemingly well until Dr. Saeghi came and was looking over my teeth and said I needed braces. This was the first time in my life that I have EVER been told i needed braces, so what did he push, INVISALIGN! Dr. Saeghi is a fantastic dentist. I've been a loyal patient for years and this is my "forever" dentist. He is always honest and explains what procedures are needed and why. He also makes suggestions for improvements, should you be interested, and clearly states all options. He is very knowledgeable about advances in dentistry and improved treatments. When I went to another dentist to get the work done properly, the insurance company said they would not pay because the work had already been billed. Never mind xrays that showed the opposite. I am hoping this will save some poor victim of this dentist. I tried to report him the American Dental Society but he is not a member. I went to his office here in Ojai for a root canal recomended by my primary dentist. I thought he had great bedside manner and everything seemed to go great, UNTIL, I went back to my primary dentist only to learn he had done it on the WRONG tooth! I went in to his office and he denied ever seeing the x-rays and chart I had showed him when I made the appt. I now wish I would have taken him to small claims court but at the time I just didn't have the energy to deal with it. I had to pull my resources together and get the root canal done on the RIGHT tooth instead. Ojai is a small town and I can't even TELL you how many people this man has screwed over. My previous dentist said that I would always need to use that horrible denture adhesive for the rest of my life. Well, Dr. Saeghi gave me dentures that fit so well that I don't use the adhesive at all any more. The look and feel of the dentures is great, much better than my earlier ones. I have already sent friends to him and intend to continue to do so. Dr. Saeghi was trained at the dental academy in Gothenburg, Sweden. This is actually a zero rating! I used to come here until they totally tried to take advantage of me. I went in for my first check after having my son. They did X-rays and said that they discovered 13 cavities and that didn't include the ones on my wisdom teeth. They refused to "fill" my wisdom so they suggested I pull them. I didn't have insurance so my total bill would be over 6 grand! I made an appointment for a second opinion and when I requested my X-rays, they said it would cost me $25 for MY RECORDS! I had my father in law who is a lawyer give them a call saying that legally they can't charge for what is mine. They weren't to happy I contacted my lawyer and basically threw my records at me. When I went to my 2nd opinion they had only found 3 cavities and filled my wisdom teeth. Total con artists! I would never go back there ever again. Not only did they almost screw me over, but they messed up my little sisters teeth and refused to do my moms crown after they did the root canal. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! read more

I'm really disappointed with the office staff here. I received a coupon in the mail and since I just moved to this area and was searching for a new dentist I figured this would be the perfect opportunity. I called to make an appointment and I told the lady I have to have the exams and right after a teeth cleaning. I'm a very busy person and can't just take off work whenever I want. I scheduled to leave work 2 hours early so that I can finally get my teeth cleaning. The lady told me I need to make two appointments because I needed a later appointment. I explained to her that this is not possible for me and I made that VERY clear. She said she will go ahead and schedule it for the same day. I asked the lady booking my appointment multiple times "are you sure you can schedule me to do both exams and cleaning because I can't take off another day of work". She said yes we usually don't do this but I will make an exception for you. I'm repeating myself because this is how often I repeated myself over the phone and I trusted that she would do that! What a shock when I came to the office and they told me the hygienist left and that I would have to come back to do a teeth cleaning. The lady working there then went on to say let's do your exams now and schedule you another day for a teeth cleaning. Are you serious?! I told her I am not going to argue with you. I am not going to do exams because I will never be coming back here. It's fortunate that they had to lie to me to get me to walk in. They waisted my time and now I'm on the search for a new dentist. The best dentist I've ever come across. Dr. Ali Saeghi was very gentle and caring. I have always been afraid of dentist but he made me feel so comfortable, even wiped my tears when I was crying from being so nervous before the procedure. He was so gentle that I didn't even feel the needle when he did the anesthesia. He took time to explain what I needed and stayed with me for a bit after the procedure to make sure I was okay. He has 2 therapy dogs that came by to comfort me (loved that) all the staff that helped me did a great job. I can't remember the names but the dentist assistant who did my X-rays and assisted the Dr., did a great job, he was very friendly. The hygienist was also great, she gave me the best cleaning/polish ever and explain how to floss better and maintain healthy teeth. Overall, I've never felt so comfortable at a dentist office. I think I finally like going to the dentist. I highly recommend this place, I will not go anywhere else. read more

I was expecting really bad things before I walked in but I found Dr. Ali to be very nice and professional. We signed up for the tooth whitening after I saw it on a billboard and I was expecting the old bait and switch. I called ahead to tell them that I had read the yelp reviews and would rather cancel than have to put up with that. They were very nice and reassuring, we got full mouth X-rays, a consultation, and the trays and bleach a week later. He did find a cavity which he recommended we fill before bleaching but there was absolutely no pressure to do it there. I didn't give it five stars because I haven't seen the bleaching results yet...I assume there's real bleach in the syringes! these dentist are money hungry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! never go to them again please! they messed up my tooth! i am missing a tooth because of them! i swear to god. in 2010 i was only 20 years old, i was deploying due to a contracting position that requires a full exam, i had a full exam done 2 months before that i had no issues . i was fully cleared by a contracted dentist through the government on the east coast literally within that month. the dentist in the east coast is hired by the government they will not falsely clear some one! long story short after i was fully cleared, dental medical and ready to go for work i came back to la to take care of some work and see my family members for a little before i don't see them in a really long time. long story short i came to this office to have a cleaning done they did an exam dont ask why. fully convinced though they were aware i did have an exam. my parents brought me here as a child and my cousins. the doctors wife came to me said i have very bad teeth and i she stated that i will loose all my teeth by the time i am 30 years old and was forcing me on to care credit!!! that it would cost $10,000.00 and i should apply for care credit right now, this second she gave me the worst attitude !! mind you i just turned 21 years old. i said no wayyyy i dont need care credit. fully straight teeth, no complaints at all. no pain. then she said well i see you need a fill so you want us to at least fix this. she knew i had dental insurance hungry ass beeps. mind you i am only 21 years old. it did not hit me money hungry people like that exsist. so when i sat down i was extremely scared they started freaking me out even more when they were forcing me to do the job i remember when i said stop the wife told the dr do something i think they broke a piece of my toothy :(. my friend and i had lunch the next day and we were eating and a piece chipped i was so sad my beautiful teeth that i always had compliments on went part missing. i had to go work overseas so i never had time to fix it till now and now i need an implant because of these mofos. they really scam people and i really hope god takes money away from them the way they want to make money just be honest and money will come the right way. i heard they use to scam medical when medical was fully paying for dental. i heard of all these stories after i went mind you. i will report them. they scammed this old ladies medical charged her medical she was ill she never had the chance to go fix her teeth and now she needs to go fix it they are saying sorry this was years ago. wait a minute you are not suppose to bill on a service you didnt do!!!!!!!!!!!! they areeee scammmm theifsssss please peopleeee please becareful!!!!!!!!!! read more
