At the moment, I am so angry - they now only treat you if you have 1 of 5 areas (weight mgmt, smoking cessation, chronic pain, etc) or you have had to be previously diagnosed with a condition BUT they don't tell you that until you get there. I feel so disrespected - my time isn't worth anything? I would give 1 star for this visit, but years ago I went because when giving blood, the needle hit a nerve and I had constant tingling in my arm - that was fixed in 1 visit so I an giving the average between 1 & 5 stars. read more

The staff was very accommodating with our traveling schedule. The service is extremely professional and the actual facility is very clean n zen. I felt much lighter n relaxed after the session. Highly recommended read more

I definitely recommend becoming a member and exploring a natural way of pain management and wellness. I have been coming since March and a member of the traditional acupuncture and cosmetic acupuncture. Everyone here is extremely professional and walk you through the process in the beginning. I recommend asking for Henry if you are needing to improve sleep. I also absolutely love Dr. Kayla - she is wonderful at just checking your pulse, asking questions, and working on areas of concern. I use this time to meditate and relax! read more

This business has not responded to BBB complaint. This company is not legitimate. The reviews are fake, the pseudo-accounts are not credible. The staff is acting as the manager and responding to Yelp reviews sarcastically. Do NOT give them your information. This place is a scam! You'd come out better riding down the tollway dumping cash out of your window. The staff is horrible, there is no manager present and the place is operated by deplorable, mean spirited individuals who pose as managers. Dominique spoke Spanish to me over the phone and this business DISCRIMINATED against me. You can see the difference in the responses even on Yelp. There was another Asian individual that had the exact same thing occur but he was met with grace and professionalism, total contrast to the response I received over the phone and here on YELP. They just keep proving my point. If you're an African American, find a place that treats you fairly and skip this scamming racial circus. It is funny how Claire insists that they "welcome African Americans" while only one bi-racial person works the location. Where's the representation Claire? If that's your REAL NAME. read more

The acupuncturist seemed to lack skill and it made me uncomfortable. The needles were painful as if she didn't know how to place the needles correctly. Acupuncture should never hurt. I noticed another review on this site that also stated that the acupuncture was painful. Instead of helping me, the acupuncture made me feel worse. Read the fine print. Very scary! read more

Great service! Came in and was greeted nicely and lead the way to my chair. Told them what my concerns were and they worked their magic. My sinus was acting up and right away I could breathe better. Def. Coming back read more

Extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Love Heather and Hannah! I fell this past weekend and fracture my coccyx which hurt horribly. Went to session and Heather gave me a treatment that would help with pain. This morning I woke up and fell 75% better. Can believe it! love going to my sessions. read more

I love acupuncture. While going for the zen is awesome, for me, I always have a litany of aches and pains from my fibromyalgia and in the almost 18 months I have been visiting them, I have been fortunate enough to not have one flare up of my FMS. They have helped me we migraines, with sinus/allergy issues, the pain from a partially torn rotator cuff, back pain from switching work environments (sit down to stand up desk and then back to a sit down for WFH). Through it all the doctors and staff have been wonderful. From Dominique who greeted me the first day, helped me sign up and manage my appointments. In fact, when the hours changed, she proactively moved my recurring appointment to a later one because she has taken the time, before and after her maternity leave, to learn what I needed. She is an amazing face to the company. And the doctors! They keep me going and I am so thankful to them. They listen and care. As you can tell from my epic complaints, I can be a hot mess. While I deal with a lot of pain issues, some days I go in and just ask for a zen experience. Let's just make the stress go away. First the needles in my ears make my eyes heavy, then the rest of the needles end up feeling like a warm, weighted blanked, I am whisked away to another place where my body is free from pain and I get the most amazing restorative rest. Thank you Dr. Kayla and Christine! For the last 18 months, you keep me going. read more

For anyone new to acupuncture, it addresses many health issues we deal on a regular basis and more. Just do some research to find out what it helps in that range from pain mgt. to digestive to hormones of all ages. Anyone with acne issues, pregnant and bad circulation, this is something to consider. A natural alternative vs. taking meds to no end or taking the wrong meds. Great way to look younger naturally at any age with a good moisturizer and acup. treatment. It's a pinch on the face, but you will see the effects. Everyone is licensed and certified to do this well and I trust them all. Sometimes we can have a good diet and still wonder what is wrong. If our bodies are not connecting the way it should, the nutrition part doesn't carry over as well which is where acup. comes in to connect the dots. It's remarkable how that works. No medicine can do the same. The acup. actually let your body connect better on its own vs. not at all. Meds are only for temp. effects, not fix the root of the prob. Please understand their cancellation policy in advance and you won't have any issues. They're not hiding anything. There's no switch bait. Front desk is always nice. Everyone of them. They will tell you what you need to know up front. This is considered medical so the forms do have to be filled out. If you don't fill them out, they can't see you. No different than going to see docs and you have to fill out a list of pages. They always tell you to come early to fill it out or go online to do so. M.A. is no different. They do have online form if that helps you save time. My experience here has been great and I hope many would give acup. a try since it can do so much. I didn't think it was for me, but here I am on a reg. basis. Anyone who's afraid of needles, this is not the same thickness. More like hair thin. I suggest Dr. Fan for the light touch. They all have their own style and they're all nice. Great thing about this place is you can see any of them. You don't have to stick to the same one all the time. Everyone has a favorite. There are no regrets on my end. Only wish that I had done this sooner than go through the usual conventional way of seeing so many docs that don't really care to get to the root of the prob. Thankful that M.A. is around. I highly recommend the place for anyone new to this. If not this place, then try another place. I sincerely hope some will give it a try and enjoy the benefits with a proactive view on health. Be kind to your body and your body will be kind to you. =o) read more

Terrible Customer Service. Do not waste your time. They send intake forms 30 mins. Edited your appointment. It takes me 30 mins to get there. Then want to cut into your appointment time or reschedule you. No mam! read more

Poor experience when it comes to cancellation, when I signed up I specifically asked about the cancellation policy the girl who signed me up said that the great thing about them is it's easy to cancel and it's month to month with no commitments. I cancelled after the first 10 days over the phone and as far I was aware we were all good. Today I got charged again, I called and expected an easy resolution. Instead they now have a new 30 day cancellation policy and there's nothing they can do to help. Really unfortunate because before I did think they were really nice. I would not recommend them due to the bait and switch policies. ***Update*** After speaking with management and the helpful girl at the desk, we worked out an agreement. Previously was a 5 star, making it 4 now after the complete experience. read more

Matthew is amazing, he listens and has really helped me work through issues over the past few months. Allergies were causing a sore throat and he was able to help stop the pain and the drainage. I was skeptical at first but now I am a true believer. read more

My experience at Modern Acupuncture has been life changing. Been going for the last 3 years.

I am beyond impressed with everyone at Modern Accupuncture! Matthew does a fabulous job of really listening and knows just what to do to help relieve my pain. Henry is also very attentive and thorough. They have helped ease everything from my arthritis pain to tension headaches and sinus issues! Thanks to the cosmetic acupuncture the wrinkles between my eyes are less noticeable, too! read more

I initially was seen in Addison for the 1st visit. I was told by the young lady that I could get a membership for $69 per month with additional visits at $20. Or, can add the BOOST which would allow for unlimited visits. I was told the BOOST was a ONE TIME fee which would allow for unlimited sessions as long as I have a membership. I was all excited to begin treatments & scheduled an appointment with the Plano location & was told so many different things than what I was told in Addison. I just want you to honor what I was told in Addison. read more

My first visit was amazing, the front desk person was friendly and professional and my acupuncture therapist Kim was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. The second visit was horrible. The front desk person had no customer service skills, was wearing a sweater jacket that made her look homeless-excuse my description and the acupuncture therapist never introduced his self to me, not friendly and did not even talk to me about procedure or how I felt afterwards. I specifically booked a table session for my back. They even had to change my appointment from 1120 to 1200 to accommodate this visit. The only thing the the acupuncture therapist stated to me is, once again did not ask me how I was feeling or give me any instructions after the treatment was next time you book and need your back done you need to let them you need a table. I told him I did and he stated there was nothing noted, like this was my fault. Very poor customer service. ON last visit I was going to buy the 3 package treatment but was also wavering between the monthly membership. The nice desk person that day stated when you come for your next visit just let them know what package deal you want before you start the session. When I arrived for this horrible session I informed Amira that I would like the 3 package deal, she stated after the session we would talk. When I came out of the session, she stated it would be $79.00. I informed her as I did prior to the session I wanted the 3 package deal. She stated you can not get that deal it is only on the first visit, and it says that right her. I informed her what I was told, but she did not care. Well they have now lost my business and my wives because she was thinking about going there and hopefully if anyone else is thinking about acupuncture, I would not go here again, unless you like poor customer service. I feel bad for the owner, I wanted to reach out to her prior to leaving this review but she is out of the country. I hope she sees this so she can address the customer service issues. read more
