They are a thoughtful and meticulous barber that has a keen eye for even the tiniest of details. I always get so many compliments on my haircuts and was stopped by a hairstylist the other day to compliment me on how well my hair was cut to fit my face shape. The space itself is always clean and the whole staff is engaging. The shop is a welcome space for queer people and folks of any identity or background. Haircuts are an intimate experience and this shop takes great care ensuring it's clients always feel comfortable and that their presence is appreciated. I sat…read morein the chair with a guy named William and he asked me what I wanted a couple of times I had to repeat myself, which was not the issue at all, but each time it felt like he was going more and more agitated when I was just trying to be clear because of course I'm not a barber so I don't know terms like "mid low or high fade". I felt him getting increasingly agitated so I just got out of the chair and said thank you and he muttered something along the lines of "youre contradicting yourself and acting like I don't know what I'm doing". It's not that I didn't think he knew what he was doing. I just wanted to make sure I was clear before he started. Seemed very much like he had v little patience but as someone who had never been there before , I didn't go in wanting smoke..I just wanted a haircut. The woman who checked me in was nice though.

He's been here several times and just plops down and waits- meaning, no regular guy cuts his hair. Each haircut is solidly meh. Not great. Not terrible. Doesn't grow out particularly well, but fine if you're on top of your trims. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this spot, but I wouldn't not patron this spot if a haircut is needed in a pinch. For example, this last haircut will probably be the last one while we look (or I look) for a new barbershop. It has a good chill vibe, but yea- like some of the reviews, maybe a too chill. Shouldn't really be talking about hookups or checking out girls while giving out cuts. (Or maybe that's cool for guys at a barbershop? I'll leave it up to you)- I find it a little gross, but whatevs.
