We like the Dylan James pizza with red onions, bacon, and roasted red peppers. The service here is always friendly with a smile, with a bevvy I've enthusiastic Pizza Barons all eager to please. This is a great big place suitable for large groups with plenty of free parking out front located in the Sun Valley entertainment district of Indian trail. Across the way there's TV charging, a movie theater, any number of nightclubs, and a few interesting shops to explore as well. But don't let that deter you from coming in here and spending some time with the great staff, the tasty food, and the welcoming and comfortable environment. I feel good spending my money here knowing MOD Pizza supports causes I care about. The entire restaurant was disgusting. Walls, floors, tables, seats, everything. Clearly hasn't been cleaned thoroughly in a long time. Trash all over the floors, tables were gross, seats were sticky, even the drink lid dispenser was dirty, not just on the outside, the inside where the lids are stored, was grimy and disgusting. The fountain drink machine was caked in sticky residue as well, not just a day's worth of use either, definitely neglected for a long time. This wasn't after a busy day or anything either. This was 6pm on a Tuesday when the manager sitting at one of the gross tables sent someone home early because the place was empty. Place reeks of neglect and indifference. My wife felt sick a few hours after eating here for our kid's school's fundraiser. If the public area is this bad, I can't imagine how bad the food prep area is. read more

Placed a take out order last night and unfortunately the pizza wasn't done correctly. Brought it back today and the owner took one look at it and said it was "terrible ". We hadn't been here before but thought we'd try it tonight. You can order a pizza with whatever toppings you want. We ordered two different pizzas and they were both good. We also ordered a Italian chopped salad which was also good. My only critique is that the restaurant was not as clean as I thought it should be, the floors were dirty and the trash in the bathroom was overflowing. Me and my friend went here today, the service was very good! They were super nice and gave exactly what we wanted, the only thing we didn't like about it was the crust. It's very cakey and hard. Overall, the pizza itself was really good! The place felt very cozy too! Not too crowded on a Saturday evening. One other thing I didn't like though was there was only one lid size, and one cup size. There's multiple toppings to create your own pizza but I wanted my first experience to be just a pepperoni pizza. It was delicious! The service and ambiance were both great. Nice staff, clean place, and good food. It's a great addition to the area. They have several fresh options to choose from. There is plenty of parking. The concept is a chipotle for pizza. Honestly I've had this a couple times now and it seems to be a running theme. The store is 20 mins from my house so by the time I got home it's just too far to go back. Pizza is burnt. We stopped and got pizza here on the way home because my friend really likes their gluten free pizza. There wasn't a huge crowd and ordering was fast and seemingly easy. My pepperoni pizza was very good, but my friends pizza was not actually gluten free even though she said gluten free multiple times while ordering to try and ensure she could eat the pizza. After a slice she realized it wasn't gluten free and stopped eating, but I hate she paid for a pizza she couldn't eat then had to decide on something else for dinner. My review would be four stars if my friend could have eaten her cheese pizza. read more

I ordered pizza today to be picked up at 5:10pm. When I arrived I see sign on door saying to call this number and we will bring it out. I called and told them I was outside and the guy on phone said you in the grey car, I told him yes. He said it is still in oven and will bring it right out. Twenty five minutes later after he delivered to 2 other cars I asked him what was going on. He said he would check. He came out with our 2 pizzas which were cold and said they were ready at 5:10 and had been sitting their since. Now it is 5:35 pm and I am going home with cold pizza. This used to be a great place but ever since Covid they are always messing up on orders. I ordered a Caspian with no cheese due to an allergy, I even called to clarify that there would be no cheese on my order , order arrived with Gorgonzola cheese on it , that honestly tasted more like blue cheese (seemed dated) and I felt so sick after eating. read more

I know, I know, another pizza place in Indian Trail. I'm into it, though, because they have a gluten free crust and the option to build your own. The assembly line is good. If you have more than one pizza in your order, they number your pies accordingly so they don't get lost in the shuffle. There are lots of ingredients to choose from, including a few I haven't seen at other BYO spots, like roasted asparagus and hot honey. I did feel that they were a little stingy with some of the toppings -- the mozzarella cheese on my pizza was far from full-coverage. The employees working the line were a delight. The young woman coordinating orders asked if my gluten free crust was for an allergy, and if I'd prefer that the folks building my lunch to change their gloves. The next man down the line was happy, helpful, and pleasant, and took ownership of my pizza in an effort to minimize cross-contamination. The gentleman at the end of the line cutting and boxing the pizzas was also enjoyable -- just the right amount of chatty to come off friendly rather than overbearing. The woman working the oven, though, was awful. I assume she's some level of management, based on the way she continuously inserted herself into other stations on the line and barked at the other workers if they weren't standing in the right spot. When she heard that one of the employees was changing his gloves to build my pizza, she started yelling (at no one in particular) that MOD is not a gluten free environment and that there's "flour all over this place." She spoke about me like I wasn't standing feet away from her as though I was stupid and entitled for ordering a GF crust. She then told the woman coordinating that "we'll talk about this later." I hated the way she spoke to the workers on the line. It was far worse than typical kitchen chatter. She was loud, condescending, and disrespectful. The pizza, though, came out very well. I'll give this MOD location another shot, and I hope the folks on the line are treated better on my next visit. read more

I got a free pizza coupon in the mail a week ago and decided, why not. Let me back up, I wasn't too thrilled about another pizza place coming to the area. I think we have five, now six within a 1 mile radius. Anyway I digress. I came into MOD pizza with my teenage guy for lunch. As soon as I stepped in the place, I got a shower of greetings! I approached the counter and the guy was very helpful explaining everything. Think of Subway for pizza. I got to choose what I wanted to put on it. I went generic (my family doesn't like to take risks in life) cheese, pepperoni, black olives, mushrooms. The sauce, oh my goodness, where have you been all my life? Simply the best sauce so far!!! The crust is okay, not the cat's meow, but okay. Let me give you a tip. Remember when Hostess made delicious Ding Dongs? This MOD pizza has a stack of Ding Dong-esk cakes in silver wrappers. This place has really gone down hill. We visited the mod pizza at sun valley on Sunday 2/6/22 at about 4pm. There were no other customers in the restaurant. They had at least 6 staff members "working" I mean standing around doing nothing. Not a signal one said welcome to Mod, NONE were friendly, they were very slow, and hardly put any toppings on the pizzas. I ordered 3 pizzas, Im pretty sure I got a total of 5 pepperoni's on my mega pizza and about 4 pieces of Canadian bacon (I swear they were counting them). The lemonade drink machine pump was not working so it wasn't mixing the lemonade and it looked terrible. Every single table was dirty except the high tops that no one wants to sit at. in our time eating there no one cleaned tables or welcomed any customers. One staff member with a huge Afro had no hair net or hat and was running the oven. When we finished eating not one person said thanks or anything. This place use to run like a Chick-fil-a, friendly and fast but apparently they don't care anymore like most places now a days. read more

Ordered a pizza for delivery from them on Sat 6/12 and the pizza dough wasn't even done. I also asked for a balsamic glaze and there was more than 2 cups poured on the toppings. I literally had to drain the sauce from the pizza and the toppings decided to drain away in all of the balsamic. I will never order from this location again! read more
