Similar to other reviews - I should have triple checked the return policy. They do a nice job of styling everything but everything looks cheap when you get it in person. Trying to exchange what I had purchased for anything that would be hard to mess up (i.e. tshirts, plain button downs). This was the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. I can get past the fact that they only offer exchanges and not refunds but start to finish, the exchange process took over a month and the item still isn't here. I bought an item here. It arrived snd just looked like absolute shit - horrible quality, clearly made in China, etc. due to the fact that they don't issue refunds (should have been a red flag) I just accepted an exchange for something else and figured if it was also cheap looking, I'd just cut my losses. So, before I could even ship my item, I had to get it "approved." Three days later, they approve me to ship it back. Note that return shipping is on your own dollar. They're supposed to process the return in 10-12 business days. 12 business days pass, nothing. I check with the company, they basically say "thanks for your patience keep waiting." Ten more days pass. NOTHING. I have given up and just disputed the charge with my card company, because it doesn't seem that the item's ever going to arrive. read more

I don't mind paying for shipping but it was $18 for a $100 order and they ship UPS which (at least for me) is the slowest shipping service. $18 for shipping that was not expedited or anything. The items I received did feel like they were high quality and I thought they were all very beautiful. However, one of them items I ordered was very different in color than the picture shown on the website. The item actually still looked beautiful but I just found it weird that it was different than what was advertised. Overall, I'm not sure if I would shop here again. Very disappointed in the customer service of this place. Ordered a dress, was too large, wanted to just exchange the dress for a smaller size. They were totally sold out of the dress. They said I can send it back for store credit only. I went ahead and processed the return through them, got a shipping label and sent it back. Now come to find out, they take the cost of the return shipping label out of the cost of the item, so I got less store credit than what I originally paid! I reached out to customer service and they were entirely unhelpful, so I went back to the website and read all their policies and it's basically a go f* yourself situation if anything is wrong with your order. be sure to read everything before you order!! you have to jump through hoops and even then you may not get anything if your order is messed up. but more than that, the customer service was just awful and passive, they never mentioned their policies until I brought it up, just kept saying they'll talk to ups. they need to have better customer service, or just don't order from these fools. I received the quilted jacket I bought for my mother's 85th birthday in a few weeks. It is way way too big. A medium fits like literally a large or even extra large. It's so big I question if a small would still be too big. So then I get ready to ask for a refund and discovered that subtly and deceptively explain that no return for money back is not an option. The jacket is currently all sold out in all sizes. I want my money back and not their language that a "return" is really an exchange or "store credit". Deceptive language on the return page. If I could give this store 0 stars, I would. I returned two tops and never received the "store credit". I contacted customer service after getting approval for the returns, but never heard back from my multiple attempts. I filed a dispute with my credit card company, which the Mod Boutique was very aggressive and wanted me to cancel the dispute and accused me of not looking in my junk mail for the store credit (it was never sent). I then had to point out that I only filed the dispute for the amount of the returns, not the full purchase price. They finally issued the store credit, but would not activate until the dispute w/ the credit card company was resolved. I had to contact customer service yet again to activate the store credit and provide proof of the resolution w/ the credit card company. 4 months later from purchasing tops and I'm still waiting on the store credit. I tried to be on top of things and order a head of time. Mind you this sweater has not been washed, the tags are still on it. She tried it on and it was too big. I called back to ask for a return, they said their return policy is SEVEN days. I asked if they could be flexible, they said no. I would give zero stars if I could for poor policy and customer service. I've bought clothes online a ton and have never had such a poor experience. I was very excited about the items I purchased and couldn't wait for them to arrive. As I almost exclusively wear a size 26, I ordered the 26 Kancan jeans, a small in some cotton pants, and a small t-shirt. When the clothes arrived I opened everything up and tried it on. They were all GINORMOUS! I was swimming in them, and both pairs of pants fell down without my unbuttoning/unzipping them. Knowing I certainly had not lost weight, I measured the waist lines from seam to seam. Neither pair of pants had a 26" waist. One was 30", and the other 29" in total. That's quite a difference. I immediately filed for a return to which Mod Boutique responded, "You're return has been denied because the items you purchased were on sale." (There was in fact a site wide 30% off sale when I purchased) I wrote them this time explaining the the pants sizes were far larger than what was ordered and the tag said, and thus I found them defective because had they actually been the listed size they would have fit perfectly. I included pictures to show them what I meant. I even offered to pay the shipping costs because I would rather have something I can wear than a $130 worth of clothes that are 4 sizes too big. Well, three weeks later and I have received no response. Had they honored my request and taken the exchange, I would have ordered from their boutique again, unfortunately that isn't what happened, so now I will warn everyone I can and avoid any further loss by ordering through them again. read more

I wish I could rate lower. I have ordered from them multiple times and had no issues except for my last two orders. The one order, the short started tearing around the shoulder area. I had only worn it once, washed it according to instructions and laid it flat to dry. The second order, I put the shirt on and later in the day realized it was ripping at the seams on the lower part of the arm. I called and spoke with Hannah who is the manager. I told her I love their clothes and they are my favorite to wear to the office and asked if there was anyway I could exchange the shirts or get new ones. Hannah was very rude and curt and told me no since I had worn the items. Look, I understand what she's saying but as some point you need to stand by the quality of your clothing. If they are tearing after one wear, that's not okay. After Hannah rushed me off the phone, I called back and cancelled $200+ order I had placed the night before. When she asked why, I told her because they don't seem to care about keeping their customers and don't care about the quality of the clothing they sell. Hannah clearly didn't care and said a simple "okay" and again rushed me off the phone. I understand having policy and I understand enforcing it but you also have to have some understanding. As a business owner, why would want your customers to have clothing that is falling apart. Why would you want to have someone representing you that is very rude and has terrible customer service skills. Literally not even an apology. I ordered a shirt that was very big on me. When I tried to return it the day it arrived, I learned they only return for store credit, and you first have to get approval to even send back the item. I had to pay for shipping both ways, which nearly equaled the cost of the shirt. I should've looked at their policy before I bought the shirt, but I shop at many online boutiques, and I'be never encountered such a difficult return process. When you're not trying on an item, it is very hard to know you won't need to return it, so I wouldn't feel comfortable buying from them again. read more
