We are calling this a brewery that added food and for that, it's excellent! I was surprised there was live music at 2:45 on a Saturday afternoon. She was good, but very loud. We didn't know how it worked, but you get menus and order from the bar. Someone brings your food only; if you need fork, knife , napkins, condiments, etc, you go get it. Let me say, I'm not a burger person, but the Mocama burger was fantastic. The burger itself may have been a frozen burger and a little overcooked (even for me who doesn't like anything done less than medium). The cheese, bacon, and caramelized onions were perfect, but that pretzel bun....hands down best I've ever had! They MUST make these in house! The fries were thinner than I expected, but the seasoning and doneness were wonderful. We enjoyed every single bite and will absolutely be back! read more

Super unique setup and very pleasantly surprised by the food! Service was great. They have a chill coffee shop vibe during the day and brewery feel at night. Pricing is typical for the area. I got the chicken panini and it was so good. Next time, I would love to try their chai latte and do work here for a bit. My only complaint is that there are no TVs for if we wanted to come here to hangout and watch the march madness/football. Other than that, it is a great spot! read more

Somehow we missed this two years ago when we were here - or it was less obvious but what a fabulous brewery! We stopped in and did a tasting - you know it's good when you can't easily find a favorite beer. We tend towards the lagers, pilsners, as opposed to IPA and sours, but there were plenty to make a tasting tray! We loved the Dune and the specialty Dortmund lager - so good! We also tried food - our first visit was a burger & fries for Wayne and I had a Grilled Cheese and fresh fruit - both really, really good. We went back the next day (I had mimosa being "beered out") and Wayne got the grilled reuben he wanted on day one (they were out) and I enjoyed a super-yummy caesar salad and fresh fruit. Both days we had amazing service from bartenders who were busy but still took good care - rare qualities. I also took advantage of the in-house coffee shop to pick up some goodies for morning. Headed to Mocama Brewery for a arts n crafts show. Part of my Sunday Funday! The market was filled with treasures from my planted artist. Mocama is a favorite brewery but the distance from my home keeps me away! Live Music inside and children dancing was the start of a fun day. We bellied up to the bar I ordered a Cosmico one of my fav IPA's. As we were sipping our beer a bartender asked have you tried our new Coconut Cosmico. A very generous tasting had me going WOW! This afternoon after driving to Fernandina Beach my mom and I decided to stop at Mocama beer. The inside of the brewery is detailed with navy blue tile along with the beer. Tabs are a rusty gold color. They have Christmas decorations throughout the brewery. There are loads of table, seating options, as well as seating up at the bar. Today I decided to do a beer flight- the lady doing our tastings behind the bar told me I can pick any four beers on their beer clipboard in order to do my flight. My mom got a glass of Prosecco for $12 not only do they have beer and wine but they also have a very large menu including different options to share, handheld sandwiches, salads they have sides for five dollars each and then on the back of the menu they have pizzas, with the kids, menu and sweets, and a couple of Thai options. Along the bottom of the menu, they have their weekly brewery happenings along with music, bingo, trivia, and live music. If you haven't been here, this is located off of Centra Boulevard and the A1A South Street. I'm drinking. 10/10 read more

Mocama did it right. This is just not a fabulous beer place but in the early AM it's a beautiful lite breakfast coffee stop. The building is so bright and airy and you can do some work from here. The food and sweets are delicious. The employees know how to read their customers. They will leave you along until they think you need them. I think they have some sort of superpower. Seriously you need to check them out. Oh ample parking too. read more

Great beer stop and friendly staff. 4 of us on a Sat. Night with the piano man Steve Saracson at the helm. Had the noodles, a burger and 2 veggie sandwiches between the 4 of us. All great. However, one of the orders came with French fries. Unfortunately, soggy and an odd unpleasant oil flavor. I mean to help rather than hinder. Revisit your fry plan or process and you'll be batting 1000. read more

NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME YET! Tried the new expanded kitchen menu at Mocama today, Saturday noon, and I hate to say it, things did not go well. Order to service was 1 hour. FOR A BURGER AND FRIES. When we brought the long wait up to staff they said it would be right out. No quite right out but soon after. What arrived looked like it had been plated by a child and the fries were cold. There were alot of other distressed looking diners wondering when their number would come up. It's a pretty big menu, maybe cut back on choices until the kitchen develops a rhythm. Love your beer, and I won't quit drinking it, but it will be a while before we go for food again. read more

Stopped by after dinner for a night cap. Super impressed with this brewery which was a nice pace from all the busy restaurants on Amelia Island. The brewery was bright, clean and casual. Our server was very kind and gave us some grace to sample a couple of sours before committing. We ended up going with an IPA called Cosmico. Very drinkable and balanced. This made our trip and allowed a busy parent to relax for a short bit before heading back to the hustle and bustle. Very cool spot! I love the asthetic and also how versatile it is/can be. The designer of this place is very smart. Beers were super cool and unique. Definitely some flavors I haven't tried before. There was one in particular that I wanted to rave about (not part of the flight we got) and I can't remember the name of it and their website hasn't been updated with the new beers on tap. I'm so sad because it is a MUST try! They say it's one of their top sellers currently, so just ask for that. I'm pretty sure it started with an S. There was a Father's Day Pig Roast there today. The roast was a fundraiser for a local family and the food was prepared by Personal Cuisine. I love that Micaela joins with local businesses and group to create different offerings. I'm not a beer drinker but a few in our group are and they enjoyed the beer! I had a coffee, which was good. I really like the people that work there. They are always cheery and help guide you to something delicious. The atmosphere is great! Laid back. A variety of seating both indoors and out. I absolutely fell in love with this Timucuan-inspired brewery on Amelia Island, when detouring off I-95 on a recent drive up to Charlotte from South Florida. The vibe is just amazing, and the taproom looks and feels both fancy and homey, at the same time. Rustic meets industrial chic meets coastal decor welcomes you, as does the friendly and engaging staff! The beers are all amazing, and true to style, with just a little unique take to add that #artistictouch to make it their own. And, for me, it was the little artistic touches that made this place such a unique experience! From the gorgeous flight boards (with luggage tag beer flight cards) to the insignia that captures the native spirit behind the name. "Mocama (mo-comma) is the name chosen by the Spanish to identify the unique Timucua dialect spoken in a narrow band of coastal territory that stretches from the mouth of the Altamaha River near St. Simons Island, GA south to St. Augustine, Florida." So, it makes sense that the historical translation of the word Mocama is the ocean, or more succinctly stated by a translator, 'big water where the sun is born'." Such a beautiful taproom! It was an old Ford shop and what they've done with the place is simply mind blowing! They have a badass table with an engine as the base which is pretty cool! Mocama Beer Company is officially one of my favorite breweries! Hubby and I stopped in after biking a nearby trail on Saturday. The building exterior was very inviting. Their interior decor was perfectly done with classy, mid-century vibes and a gorgeous bar. I ordered a flight: 3 o'clock bock, Idle daze, Derketa and Evoke. They were all amazing! Hubby ordered the Oktoberfest which was tasty. Their beer was cold and delicious especially after our bike ride. One of the best was the 3 o'clock bock, it was so good we both ordered it as our second beer. They have a nice variety of beer styles including many of my personal favorites: stouts, porters, sours, pale ales and brown ales. There was a lovely gentleman by the name of Brian Ernst playing live music. He was absolutely fantastic and I throughly enjoyed his music. Both bartenders were friendly and provided fast service. So glad I stopped by in my weekend adventures. The place is very open inside and out. They were preparing for a concert the day I stopped by. I ordered a flight with the IPAs they had and a pilsner. The first two went down easy. The pilsner was OK but that 7.0 Replicant IPA was whoa. The 7.0 Cosmico was the one of my choice. It was lightly fruity and fresh. They offer a food menu also with sandwiches and chicken and waffles so makes it perfect for Brunch. The building was renovated from a old car dealership into a high design brewery. This place is amazing! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the beers and they gave a wonderful size pour for a flight! It is absolutely gorgeous inside, they really knew what they were doing when they opened this place up. The chairs/couches are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean everything is top-of-the-line. They did not spare any expenses when making this place. We ended up taking home tons of beer because my husband loved it so much, I wish I could've tasted it LOL. Drove up here to check off another stop on the Jax Ale Trail only to find out that this location isn't on it and that I would have to go to Mocama Wildlights. None the less I got myself a flight for the low price of 15.41$, including tip, and sat at the empty bar. Laura, the bartender, and I chopped it up for 30ish minutes talking about beer and the ale trail. She was a very nice bartender and exceptional attentive and engaging. The bar as a whole was quite. Some people doing work, others reading books, and even a table of ladies playing Mahjong in the coffee bar area. This place has a nice feel too it and looks like it's probably a very festive spot on Friday nights with it's separate coffee and alcohol bars as well as it's baby grand piano. Build on the bones of an old car dealership the floor to ceiling windows that adorn the front of this property are wonderful and the old revolving door, no longer in use, reminds you that this place wasn't always what it seems to be. They also have huge interior windows that let you stand and stare at the brewing operation that goes on behind the scenes. What a great spot to stop at if you're in the area and want a delicious refresher. read more

We love this venue. Lots of open space and seating. Friendly staff. Huge windows for plenty of natural sunlight. Variety of options. We're regulars and always enjoy going here. They sometimes have yoga, farmers market, and trivia - our favorite! I'd recommend bringing seat cushions for more comfortable seating for longer stays. read more
