our son david broke his neck and became a quadriplegic. we decided to go to mobilityworks to purchase a van to get him back and forth to doctors appointments and therapy. we purchased a 2001 dodge caravan and it cost our son almost 20,000.00. we waited months for licence plates, we had to wait on them. we ended calling them back and asking what was going on and they basically lost us in the system, there was no excuse. the moment we got it home things started going wrong, the first thing was who ever installed the radio they installed it wrong and it was draining the battery so every time we had to drive it we had to jump start it, the repair shop disconnected it and now there is no radio to listen too, then the ramp broke, then the air conditioner went out, then it started leaking oil, rack and pinion, steering, just one thing after another. my son david who is on a fixed income had to pull his money out of his 401k to purchase this van. we had asked chris at mobility works if he could help with cost of the ramp since it was less than 2 weeks of having the van that it broke, we never received a call back with an answer. in september 2015 the tags were due and a smog, well the engine light came on once again and we put it back in shop had to replace computer, egr valve, among other things, after being in four different shops no one has an answer as to why this van will not pass smog. we are now putting it in the 5th and last shop to figure this out. i have already been referred to bureau of automotive repair because we have already spent close to 4000.00 dollars on repairs to try and figure all of this out. all were saying is please be careful these people don't care about your being disabled, all they care about is making that old mighty dollar, they could care less about your needs. we have never received help nor answers from mobilityworks as to why they sold our son a "lemon". i may have to get an attorney because every shop we've had it in they say we got burned real bad on this deal. can anyone imagine paying 17000.00 dollars for a 2001 dodge caravan with a ramp that broke within two weeks of having, this ramp gets our son in and out of the van, we have to pull the ramp out by hand. its insane to say the least and dangerous. he's paid out so much for repairs, he don't even have the money for the ramp, were just sick over the whole deal and wish we would of never met these people. i feel so bad for our son because it has caused him a lot of stress on top of breaking his neck and becoming a quadriplegic in the first place, i just hope these people can live with themselves. they know who we are and they know we have called for help and they just flat out ignore you..beware read more
