The owner, Steve, sold me a used lift for my moms wheelchair. In October 2018. It was installed incorrectly, with the remote control cord inside the track mechanism so that it pinched the cord each time we used it. Since my mom is mostly housebound, we were careful with it, and I didn't call Mobility about the issue until today, April 22, 2019, much to my chagrin. The fourth time I took mom out, the track cut the cord, stranding us outside the house, with the wheelchair stuck half way outside the van, still on the lift. Finally we carried my mother into the house. When I called Mobility and explained the issue, the woman answering the phone said she had no record of us and asked repeatedly if I was sure I was calling the right company. Since I'd used their company for many years in repairing moms previous wheelchair lift, which we had also bought from them, I found this odd, since I'd been issued receipts. Finally, after she called Steve, the answer came back that I should have called them before this time, and they could do nothing for us. I told her that this was unacceptable, and I hung up. I'm beyond frustrated and am angry that they did not stand by their product, used or not. Obviously, the owner is pocketing cash where he can and not leaving records. They have lost my business because of their poor customer service.
