I found this spa on Google map and made a booking via email. The only mistake I made was not…read morechecking or confirming the price of the massage. I was charged $10 more than what was stated on the website price list. I was too relaxed and not alert to verify and destroy the sense of tranquility during payment. There was no cash register and it was a handwritten receipt. I didn't realize the spa is inside a residential home when I made the booking. There is no proper parking area and you will have to park by the side of the busy highway between Davis Bay and Sechelt. Linda does attach pictures of where to park in the email. There is also no sign of where the spa is except for the small sign hanging outside the garage door with the house number. At first I thought it is inside the garage but after walking around it, it didn't seem possible. I finally figured out I had to walk down the steps and through a walkway into a garden. I was still filled with trepidation that I could be trespassing and entering a wrong place. At the house, there was another small sign pointing to where the spa was. It was by the side of the house with a separate entry. The treatment room was lovely. It contained two beds so you could have a couple session. The room looked out into the ocean which was beautiful. Unfortunately since you would be lying face down most of the time, you don't really get to enjoy it. The massage was excellent! Linda was really good and I felt the knots disappeared from my body and I was really relaxed at the end of the treatment. Now that I know where to park and how to get into the spa, i will definitely book another session with Linda when I'm in the area again.

Someone is in the room with me and paying attention to me, lightly touching me, nothing more ... so that helps me feel good and relaxed too. Is that what I paid for, someone to just sit quietly in the room with me for an hour? I did not know how she would work with the areas of my body where I wanted some healing and which I discussed with her first ... so after asking her, she said "the energy flows where it needs to, it knows where to go." I left feeling unsatisfied but without really knowing why, I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Later I realized that I felt offended that I had to fill out such a detailed medical intake form with such private information, which was for the most part, simply unnecessary because the energy "knows where to go" itself. Thus, my question would be, why did I have to reveal such personal medical information if it was essentially unnecessary to know. She's also not a medical practitioner, so why does she ask for all this personal info. I did not bother to contact the practitioner and have this conversation simply because I anticipate some airy-fairy answer about "energy" which will leave me feeling even less satisfied. I went because of all the amazing reviews on Groupon for this practitioner, but I don't see any amazing reviews on here, actually, none at all. Strange.
