I don't recommend these guys. And I used to know the former owners and I'm a former owner of car stereo stores myself. But when they tried to quote my friend $4,000 just for labor on an install that's not very hard I was definitely insulted. I was out of town I sent him to another shop I know and they did it for $300. I don't know if these people just want to make a home run on every customer I know there's a lot of money now in motorcycles and different stuff that they do now. But car audio is not that damn difficult and they are not worth that kind of money not even a tenth of that price so beware. Don't just be the customer that gets sold everywhere you go. read more

Crooks. I paid for a diagnostic on my system and was told the amp was the problem. I bought a new amp and it turns out the amp isn't the problem. After paying over $200 for the original incorrect diagnosis they wanted another $500 to troubleshoot again (because I doubt they even did it the first time) and install the new amp I bought. Don't believe a word these guys say. I got it fixed for $45 down the street at A-affordable, it was just a fuse. First guy I met, Nick, was knowledgeable and nice- things started off good until he disappeared and the other group took over. They acted like they could care less and that I was interrupting them or something. I had a schedule appt at 9 AM and they were surprised I was there. Just poor service overall. read more

He did not perform the installation, I jumped the gun and listed him since his name was on my work order. Woody, "I'm sorry." Second, I really appreciated that Nick took the time to talk to his employees to get the full detail, listened to me, and offered to make it right. Third, even though Nick offered various ways to compensate for the mistake, I passed on it under my own terms. I got what I wanted, which was the shop owning up to their mistake and I'm very pleased to hear that Nick will continue to get his employees trained to the highest standard. I understand things happen and it will continue to happen. But owning up to it, and offering a resolution, goes a long way. I will consider going back to the shop with my other vehicles one day, but right now, I'm happy how the system sounds and I got a chance to speak to the owner. offered to install two tweeters, four 6.5 alpine type r speakers, a set of crossovers, and and stereo (which I already spliced myself and needed no work. no dash kit. nothing) for 950 dollars in my 06 sierra. that's ridiculous. took it down the street got it all done for 130 dollars. obsurd. read more

I called to get a quote on getting a flip down tv monitor installed for my car and was told around 250-300$. When I bring the car down there to let the installer look at the tv and what had to be done I was told it would be over 1000$ for the work. Really made me mad that they would overcharge that much for a simple flip down install. Way overpriced !!! read more

UPDATE BELOW Prices are okay, people are friendly, work's okay...that's the problem. At $100/hour okay isn't good enough. Took three hours to diagnose and correct existing speakers and install two new ones, okayfine, these guys are pros and highly reviewed. Get in the truck the next night...no interior lights, no head lights, no dash lights. Nothing. We missed that appointment. I called and left a message, irritated as you might expect, thinking I would get a call back as soon as the opened. Well, at noon the next day, I give another call, "oh sure, bring it in, we'll have a look". So I drive from Dallas back to Arlington. Guess what, install tech FORGOT to reconnect the switch panel! What if my wife had taken it and got stranded?! My compensation? "Sorry dude". Maybe you all should brush up on you service recover techniques, because 30 seconds of getting it all wrong, negates 3 hours of getting it all right. I could have been speading the word about how great you are like so many others, instead I'm stuck feeling cheated and telling this story... UPDATE--------After having had another issue the owner got involved, not only did he have his chief installer go through the entire system but they refunded some money after they found an discrepancy that I would never had known about, thanks Nick. When I got my car back, it smelt like cigarettes. There was cigarette ash in the side compartments of the driver and front passenger door. The new sound system in my car was decent. One speaker sounded already busted. I hope this helps anyone deciding who to go with for their next sound system. read more

Don't bother. Went in 5-6 times to get their work repaired repeatedly. Then they say they need to possibly replace the radio. So, unless you enjoy getting lured into having your sound system destroyed and held hostage for extra money, take your business elsewhere. read more

When I was in school, I had them build a custom box to fit in the back of my car. I saved up for a long time to get this box made. When it was finished, it didn't even fit correctly. They offered to butcher it back down to the correct size but I figured that would just be a disaster. Later on i went to change the carpet and discovered, that when the original carpet was put on, they didn't even clean off the box first. There was a massive amount of saw dust under the carpet. No, not just a little from sitting around. Like a lot from cutting the speaker holes or whatever. They had a good reputation that's why I spent my hard earned money there. Admittedly, this is a long overdue review...but, in my defense, I'd never heard of Yelp when my work was done back in 2008. Nick & his team transformed the interior of my 1973 Impala, for a reasonable price. Kenwood CarPortal plus 7" screen, two 6 and 1/2s in a custom fiberglass box up front, two 6x9s in back, Bluetooth, new carpet...I supplied most of the parts, but Nick told me that they would've price matched whoever I bought from regardless. The owner stated his prices are higher because his technicians are highly skilled and he has to pay them more. Just drove away from my Audio install, and just can not believe the quality of sound that I am getting from the system in my 05 Dodge Power Wagon. They installed Kenwood KDC-X998, a JL 700W Amp, and Focal 165 Speakers. Mobile Sound Systems is the only company to go to for any Auto instillation. Mobile Sound Systems put a stereo & alarm in my truck more than a few years ago, so when I started having issues w/my alarm I called them to schedule a time to get it looked at....they not only scheduled me in, but sent me reminder emails so I wouldn't forget my appointment...I was impressed ! I arrived on time & they got me in right away....I waited about an hour & they came back w/my truck...they explained everything they did which was going through the entire system, checking all the connections & fuses etc. then testing the alarm brain for any malfunctions or issues, gave it a complete top to bottom look & apparently rebooted the system by testing everything...made sure there were no other issues. Best of all they didn't charge me a dime, when they could have told me anything & charged me....I would have gladly paid for the work...now they have a customer for life.
