This is now my second experience with Mobile Screen Geeks. The first time, the tech showed up late, did not have the correct equipment and installed a screen that had a dark spot on it. Now, that screen has since cracked and upon "scheduling" an appointment they did not show up, did not call, did not respond to my emails and did not answer the phone. I cracked my iphone7 screen a few months ago. MSG had a very affordable Groupon repair so I ordered it. They sent a technician, he fixed it in about a half an hour. It had some occasional little flashes on the screen but worked fine for about a month. Just after their warranty expired, it lost all touch capabilities for hours at a time. I scheduled another visit, and they came to fix it again. The tech was polite, but casually mentioned that the screens they use are so cheap, which gave me pause. When after about 45 days the touch stopped working again, I decided MSG just doesn't use good screens or perhaps hires substandard technicians. I called Puls, a similar, if a little pricier service. When the tech arrived, he installed a new screen, and also informed me that whoever had worked on the phone previously removed a heat shield that protects the screen from the heat of the battery. He figured this was why touch wasn't working, and also said it may have been done intentionally. To RECAP: I paid for two screens and repairs from Mobile Screen Geeks. Both times the screen stopped working and they removed (stole???) a key component of the phone that I will now need to replace for about $45 with installation. I cannot convey how disappointed I am with MSG, their products, and the integrity of their repair techs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Puls is clearly the way to go. read more

Yesterday my appointment was confirmed via text and then today Repair was a NO-SHOW with no explanation whatsoever from him and/or from the company. Nobody answers the phone number and nobody replied to my text saying he was a no-show. DON'T GIVE THIS COMPANY A DIME OF YOUR MONEY OR A MINUTE OF YOUR TIME. They can't be trusted. HE USES CHEAP PARTS AND DOESN'T HONOR HIS WARRANTY OR STAND BEHIND HIS SERVICE. I purchased a Groupon for Mobile Screen Geeks to fix my broken phone screen. They are based in Chicago, but advertised for Milwaukee as well, where I live. I made an appointment, and Rob (the owner) came to my home on July 29, 2017, to replace my broken screen. Within a day, the screen started to glitch, and I was unable to use my phone. This happened a couple days before a week-long trip. Thankfully I had a warranty, but then Rob told me he couldn't get to Milwaukee for a week, so my phone wouldn't be repaired in time. My boyfriend called to ask Rob to honor his warranty and fix my phone - Rob's response was to hang up on him, block his number, and then refuse to answer my calls for a couple days. I returned home on Aug. 9, but had to wait until Sept. 1 for another appointment to get the glitch fixed. Rob sent one of his repair techs, and we met at a local coffee shop. During this attempt, a small wire was accidentally cut by the tech (this wire connects to the home button, so that button is currently not working). The tech called Rob immediately, who said that he would contact me the next day to set up a third appointment to fix this mistake. Rob did not call me the next day, and did not respond to my calls or texts. I finally sent him an email, but it was still several days before I heard from him. It is now Nov. 12th, and my phone has still not been fixed. Yesterday my phone completely glitched out, and is now 100% non-functional. In the last 6 weeks Rob has repeatedly cancelled or rescheduled appointments with little to no notice. He has ignored many calls and texts that I have made, and several days will go by with no response from him. I have had no contact whatsoever with Rob for over a month. It has now been 106 days since my first appointment, and 72 days since the second appointment. My phone is still broken, and now I have no choice but to file a lawsuit in order to recoup my damages. I scheduled an appointment with this company online for the following day for a repair. After waiting for 30 minutes past the time they were to arrive I called the office and you get sent directly to voice mail. Talking to a human at this company is non-existent. I left a message and never got a call back, no reply to my text nothing. Based on previous reviews I'm guessing if your repair and location are convenient enough for them they'll come and do the repair, otherwise they just blow you off. With as many poor reviews as this company already has, my guess is if you have a problem with your phone after a repair...good luck with them following up. Plus, they don't have a physical office you can just go to so you'll be left on your own. Save your $$$ and find a reputable service center for your phone. read more

I saw this service through Groupon. I wanted to get my iPhone 6 plus screen fixed and it was a Groupon for about $65, but I had a 20% so around $53 dollars. I thought it was a great deal. Although I didn't receive the service. I booked a time online which was easy. I got a text when ever I called the #. No one ever answered the phone. I booked a time from 3-4 pm and No one showed up, even though I got a text saying that someone was coming the day prior. It was pretty upsetting. I got a text at 5:30 pm that night saying that the "guy" was running behind schedule. Which, was bogus. I called and no one picked up. They asked to come during the next day during the morning, instead of asking me what time was best for me. If you want security and actual someone to fix your phone, look elsewhere. I canceled my Groupon, luckily it was still 3 days before so, I was to get my cash refund and not Groupon bucks. read more

The replacement of the broken screen is done quickly however I waited for 50 minutes, parts are not available by the repairman , Nick has to drop by the supplier to get it. Repairman should be ready for all supplies, parts etc. at all times. Customer should not be waiting for 50 minutes, it's not acceptable. read more

Great concept. Broke my iPhone screen for the first time ever. Found the service searching on Groupon. They came the next day and the phone was like new. Unfortunately the next day my camera was malfunctioning. I suspected it was related to the repair. I tried at least 10 times to contact the company to no avail. I called but was directed, by automated message, to the website. I went to the website and and left an email, no response. I happened text a random number, that had previously sent me confirmation, and got a brief reply but still never heard back from the company. Finally I just decided to book a new appointment with hopes that I could get things resolved that way. The same repair person came and did fix the problem. He was helpful and efficient. So my only complaint about this company is the lack of personal communication. read more

My iPhone 6+ needed repair. So I made a groupon purchase on Christmas eve for a lcd and glass fix. I followed the instructions on the groupon & made an apt on their website for 12/26. I am in the Phoenix area, and found the groupon as a phoenix area provider. On the morning of 12/26 I get an email that they are not in my area until January 1st, 2018 and that they would reschedule my appointment for that day. SO this morning I call to confirm, (because I had not receive any other official confirmation of the 1st besides the email that said they would reschedule me) and the receptionist tells me that they have no techs in my area and my purchase was invalid. I explained to her what happen, I told her that their website says (in small print towards the bottom, when the apt link is at the top and one would not scroll down when making an apt) grand opening January 1st, I have an email that says 1/1 and yet they don't have techs in the Phoenix area? Can you say FALSE ADVERTISEMENT?!?! I got my purchase refunded from groupon and purchased another voucher for screen repair that cost me an additional $30 since the day I purchased there was a sale going on. I've now been without a phone for a week and am a single parent. I've been using my 16 years old phone, and that has been frustrating for all us! I would stay away from this business, they clearly do not follow through on their appointments and don't care about any money a consumer spends beforehand. my phone is fixed very hapoy about that. however they were an hour and 40 min late for my appointment window 4-5pm. they showed up at 6:40 no apology no explanations and i still had to pay the additional $15 fee for using Groupon. Well, this company seemed like such a good option. I was wrong. Found a Groupon for them for a decent price to fix my iPhone 8 cracked screen and they were supposedly able to come to your location! I thought this sounded like it would work great, so when I tried to schedule an appointment, it was giving me issues because I was in Phoenix, and this location hadn't opened yet?? Why would there be an advertisement when this isn't even available yet..anyway, I was finally able to schedule for a screen replacement after their "Grand Opening" and they showed up and after already taking off my old phone screen (which cracked more when he removed it) he told me that their phone screens were a little off, that the colors wouldn't be as vibrant or what not. You're not going to give that disclaimer right off the bat or before you ruin my old phone screen beyond use? Unbelievable. After about an hour and a half of my time and him taking the screen off and putting it on multiple times, he leaves, within the HOUR there are marks showing up from the backlight (looks like he got fingerprints all over the back of the screen) as to damage the LCD. I contacted them for a refund because this experience was already out of hand, they refused and would only give me another screen replacement. So, oh boy, I got another cheap-o, off brand screen that stopped working a month later. Very disappointed, I would definitely recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more
