My first time buying a dash cam and having it installed in my car. I searched and came upon Mobile masters Via google. The website is relatively straight forward and easy to use. I was put in touch with Vic, installation expert. They were very swift in their response' to my concerns and scheduling. I was charged $300 for installation. I initially scheduled for a Wednesday but encountered a scheduling conflict last minute. They were very understanding and allowed me to schedule without any type of penalty. Vic showed up around our scheduled time frame and it took him about 1.5 hours to do. My only hiccup or reservation was with what was being charged. On the website it indicates that the installation takes 2.5 hours for installation. Vic Arrived at 1:20 and he was finished by 2:30 with my installation. Don't get me wrong: very cool guy and very informative about the process and what he was doing. Other than the pricing issue, everything was , I also work in a service industry so I understand that it's not about what the time that you're paying to have the service rendered, but it's more about the time it took the individual to learn the craft in which the services were being rendered. Terrible experience. Hired them to install a two channel dash cam with front and rear facing cameras. He installed the rear camera inside the rear window which was tinted. Camera was useless at night. I ask him to come back and mount the camera outside like it was supposed to be. He told me I should cut the tint. Went to Tint World. They mounted the camera outside like it was supposed to be. I ask him for a refund to cover our additional expenses and he refused. Vic was not helpful or professional. I would go to Tint World. Terence is the ONLY person who I will have work on my car. I met Terence years ago when I stopped into a retail store and bought some car electronics. He installed every item with perfection and I continued to go back to him every time I purchased a new car, or wanted to upgrade my equipment. Last week, I started experiencing a problem with a dash camera that he installed. Since the camera was already installed years ago, I figured that perhaps a wire went bad or a fuse blew out. Due to the fact that I work from home and I have demanding hours, I didn't have time to go back to the big box store and hunt down someone to troubleshoot. I made an appointment with mobile masters. They were booked out several days. On day of appointment, I received an email and text stating that tech was arriving soon. Would you believe that Terence showed up!! I was shocked! He remembered me and we had a nice conversation. Terence then got to work by troubleshooting the issue. He traced it to a bad power module that is part of the cameras installation kit. Fortunatley, I purchased another kit as a spare. Terence replaced the faulty module and everything is working perfectly. I can't believe I haven't yet reviewed these guys. Vic and Terrence are FANTASTIC. They have worked on 3 of my vehicles, so far, 2 Audi's and a Mercedes. Compared to everyone else I've had work on my car audio, dash cam, etc., these guys make everyone else look like amateurs. They treat your vehicle as if it was theirs, everything disassembled and reassembled carefully to avoid breaking clips, cosmetic damage, they use seat covers and other protective equipment, soldered connections when possible and essentially over engineer things to make sure they aren't making warranty trips. I would not let ANYONE else touch my cars and they are about to do another for me. I've been using them since 2017 and I'm VERY sensitive to rattles and cosmetic damage - and have had NO issues with their work. They rock, and I roll... PS: Their value to service ration, compared to others, is where they really shine... my dealers don't do work on my cars as carefully as Mobile Masters.... PSS: All of these people with 1 star reviews - REALLY? I've read you... how about speaking some truth and helping people out in hard times, instead of writing nonsensical reviews for a busy business, when you never ended up being customers.... read more
