Plus, despite being busy working on someone else's order, the person at the desk recognized that my issue was simple, and fixed it in less than 10 minutes. And the price? After waiting 2 hours my phone was handed back to me with the same smashed screen and now a home button that doesn't work. I told them this was unacceptable and they accused me of having my phone worked on before (which I had not). They then told me they needed to keep it overnight or return it to me as is. I left it overnight as it was in no working condition. Returned the next day to pick it up. Phone was still not ready! Waited another 1.5 hours to have it returned with a wobbly home button and damaged LCD/LED screen (which apple has quoted me $350 to repair). All they did was apologize and state they didn't know how that happened. I was asked to take it to the Mobile Klinik at St. Laurent and given a 20 dollar phone case as my screen is still not fully attached. I will absolutely not recommend any of these pop up phone repair shops. It's worth the wait at Apple.

She answered all of our questions patiently and suggested what would work for us. We assumed it was not a good deal and walked away. Having visited another couple of stores nearby, we came back. She was so certain that we would come back that she had prepped some of the work beforehand. She was alone in the store and she presented herself so professionally that it was mind boggling. I am sure she is a commissioned based rep, but not even for a single second she made us feel that she was suggesting what was good for her. All her answers and suggestions were very good. UPDATED review - from 4 years ago, when I received a new iPhone 6S... I am sad to report that that…read morebeloved 6S has bitten the dust and gone to cell phone heaven - and I just noticed that my review was only 4 years old (feels like longer that I had that phone). It had a better camera than what I had seen in previous releases, and I was very very happy with it. I would have kept going with it, except it started to have issues where it was occasionally unresponsive to touch, and it started flickering on the screen; not a good sign. So, I called fido to see what they could do for me, and they recommended the iPhone XI Pro, for an extra $46 per month (on top of the already existing plan). That was a little rich for me... as much as I was sorely tempted! I really liked the 3-lens feature on this phone, but I could not justify spending the extra money. So I shopped online through the fido store, and came up with an iPhone XS, which is being phased out - but this one is 4 generations newer than the phone I have been using. The bonus was that they had only 1 left, and they were offering it at $20 per month over 2 years. So I took the plunge, money being the driving force here. The very next day (seemingly), Apple introduced the iPhone XII. Figures! Mind you, no way could I have got that phone for $20 per month... So I guess I will try this XS for the next 4 years, and I will watch what they come out with until then... I must say, transferring to a new phone is still time consuming, but way easier these days! It took all afternoon, but it is exactly what I had before. Kudos to fido!
