I think it was NASCAR and trucks going fast and loud with only a little bit of crashing. pretty sure the format is total laps over time and everyone has to run on each lane. crazy fast cuz it's wide open all the way and hopefully the car sticks except when it's supposed to slide. meanwhile on the flat track it's all practice practice practice.

A customer was asking several questions to the employee in the parts area of the shop, indicating he was newer to the hobby. He apologized for asking a lot of questions, and the employee said there's no need to apologize. It appeared the employee actually appreciated the intrigue and genuine interest in the hobby. In this case, they were talking about crawlers. We've all been where this customer was - new to the hobby, even if you've taken a long hiatus to be an adult.... But we can all remember the patience given to us when we had seemingly "noob" questions. Because of this, I'll continue my e-commerce purchases with Hobbytown!

He proceeds to "look them up" on a monitor. Proceeds to give me a very high price. I counter offer $10 less. They wouldn't take it. I turned it down. Then the young man took the book and said, that belongs on the wall. So, I worked for them in finding that wall book. I dug thru a dozen long boxes, found a nice book, made them a reasonable counter offer and then they put it on the wall to try to make $10 more. If I wanted to pay Ebay prices, I would buy from there. I did the work they were supposed to be doing instead of sitting around talking and joking. I won't be back.

Anything they do not have you can usually order directly from them. The gaming area upstairs is a great place for both wargaming and ttrpgs with terrain and around six tables altogether. Overall, this is my favorite game store in Asheville!
