A customer was asking several questions to the employee in the parts area of the shop, indicating he was newer to the hobby. He apologized for asking a lot of questions, and the employee said there's no need to apologize. It appeared the employee actually appreciated the intrigue and genuine interest in the hobby. In this case, they were talking about crawlers. We've all been where this customer was - new to the hobby, even if you've taken a long hiatus to be an adult.... But we can all remember the patience given to us when we had seemingly "noob" questions. Because of this, I'll continue my e-commerce purchases with Hobbytown!

When he couldn't answer a question, he asked the older gent at the counter. Being a woman, I had worried that I would be ignored, but these guys were so helpful and encouraging; it was refreshing, indeed. This shop is an asset to Asheville and I'm glad we have them here.

Be warned, they barely have anything priced. That being said, I found a few I wanted. Took them to the counter. I asked for the prices on the books I had on the counter. He proceeds to "look them up" on a monitor. Proceeds to give me a very high price. I counter offer $10 less. They wouldn't take it. I turned it down. Then the young man took the book and said, that belongs on the wall. So, I worked for them in finding that wall book. I dug thru a dozen long boxes, found a nice book, made them a reasonable counter offer and then they put it on the wall to try to make $10 more. If I wanted to pay Ebay prices, I would buy from there. I did the work they were supposed to be doing instead of sitting around talking and joking. I won't be back.

I was assured they could and did. Well my nephew broke it. Went back to The Hobby Connection, And was told the part was back ordered. They could not get the part it was on "Back Order".
