When I picked him up, something felt off. I couldn't pinpoint exactly what had happened, but his behavior was clearly different. Since that visit, he will not let anyone touch his front paws or trim his nails. Before this appointment, he was completely fine with nail handling--I was able to trim them at home without any issues. This change was immediate and has been ongoing ever since. For context, I had previously taken him to the south Anchorage Petco, and he had a completely normal experience there. No fear, no resistance afterward. That's why this shift stood out so strongly. I can't say exactly what occurred during that appointment, but the lasting impact on my dog has been significant. It's been really difficult to work through this fear with him, and it's honestly heartbreaking to see. If you have a sensitive or anxious dog, I would strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about handling practices and consider how your pet might respond to that environment.

Our dog Bailey is a very reactive dog and has a past that had her in a kennel for most of her life. She had no interaction with any dogs outside of a kennel and most of those dogs also had issues of their own. Brett has helped her with her focus and her attention span has severely lengthened. She understands very well the place command and sees that as her lil' dog cave. She has also picked up the "heel" command pretty well and no longer tries to pull me around when out on a walkabout. The one on one sessions are very informative and Brett clearly demonstrates his knowledge of his business every time we meet. There are also Saturday classes to attend while and when finished with the one on one sessions. There are different levels of Saturday classes to help address the specific issues your dog may have.
