They have amazing security: you have to be buzzed in through the front office and all the doors and fences are locked from the outside. You also have to scan you Driver License into the system which is great for deterring criminals and parents that aren't allowed to see their children for custody purposes. It's so obvious how much they all love and care for their students and their families. I absolutely recommend looking into KCA if you are looking for an elementary or middle school. There's a new headmaster this year (2007), he's a very positive influence on everyone (from at least the perspective of this parent!). Graduates go to top universities nationwide, plenty of National Merit Semifinalists and student-athletes. School is one of the most expensive private schools in Mobile, but you definitely get what you pay for here. Some kids live up to 40 miles away but go to SPS because the quality of education is *that* good (God knows, especially compared to the public schools in the area!). Very much a community feel at this school. Parents really reach out to other St. Paul's families. Has a reputation as an "elite" school in Mobile (along with UMS), but not all parents are rich (plenty of us aren't even close to it)--yet all are part of the St. Paul's "family," regardless of socioeconomic level (contrary to what one might believe). New families are welcomed into the St. Paul's family with open arms. SPS families "do" for one another. Yes, blazers are worn for chapel for the older (high school) kids, but it's not daily. (Maybe the dress code has changed since reviewer Julia W. was there?) They don't wear knee-high socks any more, either. Anyway, all Mobile students wear uniforms (in both public and private/parochial schools). Maybe I'm biased, but at least the SPS uniforms look better than the other schools' uniforms! My (much younger) brothers went to school there from elementary school through graduation, and were/are extremely happy with the education they received and the overall experience. As a parent, I give it my highest praise and recommendation!

UMS is located in a busy part of town so it takes a lil while to get into the parking lot. They have adequate parking for school events. They also have well maintained grounds. I feel like nobody really tried working with him, they were just there to do there job then go home. He did have some behavioral problems, nobody would ever give me a clear answer as to what he would do. With the amount of money I paid, I thought they would at least try to help him, but later found out that I had to pay more money for that. So we moved. Since they were talking about vid and Jesus, I thought that they will keep their words and we didn't need a contract. Unfortunately; the principal moved to Tennessee and his secretary retired the same year. The new school staff could check the bank account and the checks that I gave it to them to justify my claim, but for some reason they never did. I waited until 2023 and they were promising to do it every year. I felt betrayed and disrespected, so I moved my son from that school. Don't trust no one just because they talk about god and Jesus. Always go with the contract, so no one can screw you and your money same as CHCA did with me.

My son started attending this preschool in August 2017. He is an only child so we were a little…read morenervous about putting him in preschool but he needed that interaction with kids his age. The whole staff is friendly, welcoming and they try to ensure the kids have a great day. He was recently diagnosed with autism, while this facility isn't geared to help with the extra needs he has. They do try their hardest to make his day go well as they do with the other kiddos. I see this first hand, I stay a few minutes most days to help him settle in and everyone is always so great. Mrs. Ellen has been a great teacher, she is understanding and loving. The whole staff is awesome!
