He has earned a full scholarship to University of Alabama to study engineering. I cannot say he would have earned that elsewhere. He graduates with a 4.0 and study at this school is designed more like college courses. The students learn to be independent and board on site. There is 24 hour security and there is a great life/work balance. He likes to stay on campus over weekends because they have fun activities and are also very involved the community with service at the food bank, water for 5k races, annual Greek festival and more! I highly recommend thisnschool for the student looking to push themselves and not afraid to be away from home at an early age. There are hall staff and an amazing office staff on site. My son was in K4 last year and we absolutely loved the whole experience of it. His teacher was amazing, the office staff are always so kind and helpful and I love that everyone makes you feel like family. Doing my son's first year of school during Covid was really hard because we didn't get to experience the normal stuff, but KCA did such a great job navigating all of that and keeping the parents up to date. It's so obvious how much they all love and care for their students and their families. I absolutely recommend looking into KCA if you are looking for an elementary or middle school. My youngest is in their daycare and we love them too!

There's a new headmaster this year (2007), he's a very positive influence on everyone (from at least the perspective of this parent!). Graduates go to top universities nationwide, plenty of National Merit Semifinalists and student-athletes. School is one of the most expensive private schools in Mobile, but you definitely get what you pay for here. Some kids live up to 40 miles away but go to SPS because the quality of education is *that* good (God knows, especially compared to the public schools in the area!). Very much a community feel at this school. Parents really reach out to other St. Paul's families. Has a reputation as an "elite" school in Mobile (along with UMS), but not all parents are rich (plenty of us aren't even close to it)--yet all are part of the St. Paul's "family," regardless of socioeconomic level (contrary to what one might believe). New families are welcomed into the St. Paul's family with open arms. SPS families "do" for one another. Yes, blazers are worn for chapel for the older (high school) kids, but it's not daily. (Maybe the dress code has changed since reviewer Julia W. was there?) They don't wear knee-high socks any more, either. Anyway, all Mobile students wear uniforms (in both public and private/parochial schools). Maybe I'm biased, but at least the SPS uniforms look better than the other schools' uniforms! My (much younger) brothers went to school there from elementary school through graduation, and were/are extremely happy with the education they received and the overall experience. As a parent, I give it my highest praise and recommendation!
