Sure enough, it was hot and ready when we arrived. We also picked up a few premade items. The pizza was good, but being gas station pizza it has a ceiling. It was as good as we expected it to be. The premade items (slice of cheese pizza and premade King's Hawaiian BBQ Brisket Sliders) were good as wel. Great stop on a road trip when you need to get gas, use the (clean) bathroom, and grab some food to go along I-88 as long as you don't expect anything beyond gas station standards. Lastly, everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful.

The woman who replaced them was in a really shitty mood and just boxed the food that was all burnt to shit and just sent it out. The wings were hard as rocks we literally horsed one down the street with a baseball bat lol. and the rest was BARELY edible.

Back the car out of the garage on a Sunday and had a big oil puddle under it.Being it was Sunday I couldn't take it in . Jacked it up and the plug was finger tight . Lets see that's 3 chances !! I will talk to Gary or Gail soon about this . Not going back at all ,includes our gas !!!

They charged me $80 an hour labor to work on my Lincoln Town Car, which is the average labor cost across the Country, and $60 for picking it up at my house and towing it to their garage, which is below average towing costs. All in all, I'm very satisfied with them and recommend them to anybody that needs their car serviced. Bonnell's is a family owed business that has been repairing and servicing cars for well over 50 years. You know to last that long, it HAS to be very good place to have your auto worked on.

My car broke down on Highway 88W at 7:00pm. It was 18 degrees and dark. I had no idea where I was on the highway. My car was slowing down and I didn't why. There were no mile markers or signs with names of towns around me. I actually got out of the car with 18 wheelers flying past me in the dark to look. I checked with Google to see what towing company had good reviews. After reading reviews on line sitting on the side of the road about several different garages I chose Gonzalo's 24 HR Towing located in Rock Falls. I spoke with the owner Gonzalo Barocio who located my 2005 Suzuki towing a 5x9 Uhaul. It took a while to find my exact location. I used a GPS satellite finder on my phone. He told me over the phone "I won't give up looking until we find you. I won't leave you stranded." That meant a lot to me as I sat wrapped in moving blankets with a dead battery from trying to keep warm. Remember it was 18 degrees outside! And my phone was down to 5% from using GPS. Gonzalo found me and towed my car on a flat bed & the trailer behind the truck he brought. He had the heat on HIGH for me. That was very thoughtful! He and his guys started working on my car immediately. He told me "Your clutch exploded!" & later showed me the gear with the medal adhered in splatter like shapes. My Flywheel had to be resurfaced. It was a bad breakdown! Now, a 'typical' mechanic working with a woman would, in my experience as a 63 year old female, take advantage of this situation. A woman, stranded on the dark highway, hauling a 5x9 Uhaul trailer, that's a 'target' for any disreputable mechanic and a chance to double all charges! Gonzalo Barocio is not that type of mechanic. He is honest, true to his word and caring. He honestly is! He repaired my clutch and the charge was UNDER what my mechanic quoted. He also fixed my wires for the fuel canister & replaced exhaust gaskets which he found in bad shape and he did this at no extra charge. I asked my mechanic when I got back home in Colorado Springs what he would charge for all the repairs that were made, he quoted a higher price. When I showed him the bill he said "Well, he didn't rob you, in fact, these prices are reasonable. Looks like he gave you a break." Pretty high praise from another mechanic, don't you think? I wanted to share my Guardian Angel Mechanic and truly nice person with you this Holiday season. He is a find! When you find someone like this you tell everyone you know, so that he stays in business and shares his mechanical gifts and honest personality. A treasure! You'll see, if you're smart.
