If I had known what was going on I might have waited to update, but alas.... My fellow Yelper Maureen was spot on about this place; and even convinced me to give it another try. All I wanted was a fill up and a car wash. I waited too long to choose which wash from the pump so I had to go in to purchase it. Lovely! Everything is bright and nice again, clean, well merchandised. The Subway, Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Dounts are still here too, I was glad to see. The employee who rang up my wash was extremely friendly and helpful. She issued me one of those Speedy reward cards and told me that I have 4 washes to go until I get a free one. Cool! The restrooms are also pretty clean which is huge considering the traffic they get. Got there about 6am a past morning and had a coffee and breakfast tacos on their patio table outside. Pretty relaxing even with the adding morning traffic. The breakfast tacos are pretty bomb. They offer made in house I assume real scrambled eggs with choice of bacon, sausage, or brisket. And I know it's a car wash at a gas station, but was more impressive than I thought it'd be. I bought gas first, and I really liked the new branding Mobil had going on. There were some slick red and blue-colored structures above each pump, which looked extremely cool. I should also add that I use this phrase "new branding," but also that I rarely go to Mobil and this could've been a change made seven years ago. This Bucky's/Mobil trip is also notable because it was the first time I'd ever checked "yes" at a gas station when asked if I wanted to add a car wash. At Bucky's/Mobil, I saved 10 cents per gallon when adding a wash. That rocks. I only paid $8 for the car wash, which was pretty detailed and quick, and according to my dad, was "gentler on my car" than most washes. I have no idea what that means, if that's even true, or how such a thing is determined... but he's a dad, so I trust it. :) If you ever need a late-night car wash or want to try this inconspicuous gas and car wash spot, go for it! You might like it more than you think.

I've been waiting for this gas station to open for a few months and I finally had a chance to go in…read moreand check it out. I'm a fan of the Speed Trek gas stations. Simply because I like the one they have off Interstate 90 on your way to Rockford / Wisconsin. This location is miniscule compared to that location. It's ideal to come here heading west on Route 30 because if you're trying to go east and Route 30 or exiting to go east on Route 30 it's going to be a challenge. Unlike the other gas station off Interstate 90, this is only a gas station but has no hot food options at all or restaurants. It's just a giant glorified gas station. Staff here was friendly, fair selection of drinks and snacks. Staff here was friendly. Great place to come to if you're a trucker as well but it's a long walk from those fuel pumps to go inside the store. I give this place more of a two and a half Stars.

I went to Thortons in Woodridge, IL on 1/22/26. Imagine my…read moreshock and horror when I realized the auto shut off malfunctioned and gas was spilling everywhere. I went into the store to let them know and the clerk told me " we don't have auto shut off, these are really old pumps" I know this to be an untrue because until today my husband and I always got our gas there. I don't blame the clerk, although he was not only unsympathetic and unhelpful, he is certainly not responsible for the maintenance of the pumps. My concern lies in the aftermath of the spill. I drove by again shortly after the incident to see if the gas had been cleaned up, it had not. I also wanted to see if the pump had been turned off or if it had been marked as defective, again, it had not. I can't imagine how this would have been handled had this been an actual emergency. The 5 cents I saved will not make up for the money I needlessly spent, the car mats and shoes that will need to be replaced, or most importantly the trust I had in this company.
