He had a small sign that said "homeless, please help". He never bothered anyone, never even looked up unless someone spoke to him. He was extremely grateful for anything anyone would give him. He actually had quite a following ... many people came to see him and his dog - making sure they had food. The store actually made quite a bit of money with people going there specifically to see Jay and Guinness. Recently the store came under new management and the assistant manager started harrassing Jay. I went in one night and told him about Jay and how many people spent money in the store on behalf of Jay and the asst. manager was rude to me with regards to the situation. I wrote corporate and 2 days later, this ASSt. manager called the police on Jay and tried to push the officer to write up a trespass warrant and arrest him. The officer refused to do this without first giving Jay a warning -- so at least he didn't get arrested and Guinness didn't end up at animal control (where he could possibly have been euthanized). Now Jay has no where to go and the people who help him have no way to help. This ASSt. manager even ran out of the store the day Jay went to the PUBLIC pay phone which is on the corner of the street where the 7-11 is. (I know this because Jay does have a couple phone numbers of people who have befriended him over the last year ... and myself and two of my friends are counted among those). I, personally, am boycotting this store and all 7-11's since corporate didn't care enough to even respond to my email. My friends (and other animal rescue workers I know) are also boycotting this store ... some, like me, are also boycottting all 7-11s. There are plenty of convenience stores around .... a store without a heart doesn't deserve our money.

The gayest appears to be a little higher in price over on this side of town then from where I live over on East Orlando, but this gas station was in line with the other gas stations in the area. The inside of the 7-Eleven how's the usual convenience store items plus the food on the roller that you expect from a 7-Eleven. The staff was friendly and I was in and out in a relatively quick amount of time. All in all, I would give this place the recommendation. Basically it served its purpose. I eat at Wawa because it is good, cheap and convenient food. I remembered they had a turkey and gravy bowl you could get over stuffing and mashed potatoes. Service there is fast but now they have a mobile app so I ordered up two bowls but first a quick stop at Publix. When I got to Wawa the order had disappeared from my phone. Did I shop too long at Publix? The manager explained they were out of stuffing but to compensate I could order any food item for FREE. That is the magic word for me, but rather than be greedy I just said I would take the hot turkey with all mashed. I could have skipped out of there but it was raining outside and I did not want to slip on my ass. My cousins came down last year from Wisconsin and we were meeting near Seaworld so I said we were waiting at a table outside Wawa. They were looking for a restaurant but eventually found the gas station and were pleasantly surprised with the smoothies and pretzels. They liked that you can special order. Later I offered to take them out to eat but their family wanted to go back to Wawa before they took off. This is not fine dining but they are always having specials like the buy one get one sizzling breakfast sandwiches, dollar coffee and soft drinks. So I give them five stars for deals, healthy options like the breakfast bowls, fast and consistent items and quick service even with high volume.
