Stopped in this morning right at the 9 AM opening to pick up a new pair of glasses from the optical department ,another area where Costco continues to deliver excellent value. I was first in line, and after a quick adjustment, I was in and out in about five minutes. Efficient, painless, and honestly kind of impressive. Afterward, I decided to reward myself with one of my guilty pleasures, tubesteak breakfast. The legendary hot dog combo still hits the spot, salty, satisfying, and oddly comforting. I also noticed what appeared to be a newer menu item, a loaded calzone for around $6.99. Didn't try it this trip, but it definitely caught my attention for a future visit. One small disappointment this trip, no containers of the diced raw onions at the condiment station. Apparently, it was related to a holiday week vendor issue. Not a dealbreaker, but those onions are part of the full Costco dog experience for me. I did notice they now offer deli mustard alongside the standard yellow mustard, which was a welcome upgrade. I have always been welcomes upon walking in and everyone has been very friendly during interactions. This store can become busy in the early evening, but the competent staff seems to move people through very quickly so you are never waiting long. In terms of the gas pumps, there are only four which are in a very tight area. They can become somewhat busy at times as it is the only gas station around this area, with the next being a couple miles in either direction. Oh thank heaven for 7-Eleven!
