This is a large station with at least a dozen pumps. All are under a good high cover. The receipt printers work and it's nice to see that they have squeegees at each pump with water in the bucket. On today's visit, the bins outside were well cared for, there was no trash. Inside, all the usual snacks and drinks including beer. Lots of choices and lots of fixings for you to customize. I was surprised to see that this station has already been open for over a year. It looks brand new.

Depends on if there's been a hurricane or something recently really. It's a bit of a dump. It adjoins lots with an ABC store and the huge flea market that I'm also less than impressed with. The lot in general is fairly "bombed out". Watch for potholes and mounds of gravel when pulling in here. And since there's no median to speak of, watch for cars turning in and out from just about anywhere. Traffic in front also gets bad. The pumps are old and I avoid the place because I'm pretty sure it's a skimmer's paradise. Inside the store is shoddy and old. They have "beer on tap" according to their sign. A hodge-podge of sodas, candy-bars and everything else that looks in varying levels of age. "Produce" is a misnomer. If you can handle the extra 2-5 minute drive, pass Miller's and turn left at the light. All the way down this road at the next light you'll find a QT that's in SC. World's above this place in every possible way.

Some produce, but it was out of season, assume that selection will grow. There is an ABC store next door and I guess thats about all I have to say about that.

But I got three bags of snacks and two of the bags expired two months ago. Not expiring soon or even very recently expired but expired TWO MONTHS AGO. This means not only can I not eat what I paid for but these items were obviously sitting on their shelves for two months past their expiration dates. Unacceptable.

Decent pumps and the receipt printer works. It's in South Carolina, so you're saving a good 21 cents a gallon in state gasoline tax too. I've switched to this station instead of the Kangaroo across the street because they are both priced the same, but this one is a member of the Fuel Rewards Program, so you're going to be saving at least an additional 3 cents a gallon.

Easy to access from I-77 and if you follow the signs properly, you can get onto either I-77 or I-485 from here easily. If you can hold out another TWO miles, continue down I-77 to Carowinds Blvd which is across the border into South Carolina. South Carolina state gas tax is 18 cents lower than North Carolina, so on a typical 12 gallon fill up, you're saving about two dollars.

The best deal I found here is that they sell large fountain drinks for only 69 cents. I first found fountain drinks for only $1 at McDonalds. I thought that was a good deal. Then I found them at Quick Trip for only 99 cents. Then I found them at another convenient store for only 79 cents. It seems there is a fountain drink price war going on in this area which is good for consumers. Cashier was slow and distracted by co worker. As a result, he ignored me for quiet some time. He also gave me wrong answers on prices for some reason. One tip: The prices on the fountain drink machine are wrong. It has a sale sign up on top advertising 69 cents.

This station gets a lot of traffic from people coming and going, so it is not unusual to have to wait for a pump. I always get weary of people whipping around the station, but there's only one bank of pumps so it makes it a little easier - a lot of times the two bank system creates really weird waiting lines and then awkward races for free spots when people pull out. This Exxon has a small convenient store with your typical items and beverages. The staff are friendly enough. I'm sure it's interesting working here since there are so many people coming and going so the time may (or may not) fly by. Exiting the station can be tricky, but doable. There is a side entrance to the station that can dump you behind it to the hotel and the Frugal McDougals (one way street) and you can come out of the Carowinds Entrance if you really don't want to wait on folks turning out of here.
