After owning a dozen diesels and over 50 K on this one- I think I know when and where I got bad fuel. My filter had been changed not long ago, so you do not suddenly and mysteriously get lack of fuel and filter issues. About the only reason I ever stop here is for location, the prices are not that great, the service is barely acceptable, the restrooms are trashed. Now I will be spending another $15 for a new fuel filter, and 8-10 more for an additive - which they should have immediately offered.... However (at the present, at least) the majority of the stations in the state are required to have half of their pumps full serve (or actually, mini serve) and half self serve. They're identified so you know which is which. I was annoying to wait five minutes for the attendant to come out and pump. There weren't that many people at the gas station at that time... were the other three or so folks all inside at the same time, or was the guy hoping that by leaving me wait I'd change my mind? Maybe it's a staffing issue, I don't know. But make sure you have enough people to run your business, Chevron.
