I needed assistance and no one ever came out to help me or even pop their head out to ask if I needed assistance. I had my small child in the car and did not want to have to get them all out to go in and grab the attendant. While there another man had to try 3 times to get the pump to run again with out any assistance. Even if you promote self serve you should at the least check on someone who has been on your lot for longer then 5-10mins with out pumping their gas. I come to this location because it is normally very clean and the employees are usually very polite, welcoming, and helpful. However since the self serve they cut back on employeement and their quality of customer service has slacked. Call me old fashioned, but I want to see a human face, have an interaction, see people employeed. I live right down the street and have come here for going on 10 years, but will think twice before giving them my business again.

We didn't even have to get out of the car and we loved this service at Costco. It's so convenient and time efficient. Wish they had this in California too! Why? Have you seen the prices on gas at the "regular" gas stations? My husband and I were just talking today about "do you remember the 70's?" (Ok, I guess I am showing my age now). Everyone used to have their favorite gas station. Come on, admit it! I will admit that I was a Chevron girl. I always filled up with Chevron gas, had the Chevron gas card and was a loyal fan of their product and service. Well, not anymore. Everything is COSTCO. They have the best deal, great service and if you are traveling, a COSTCO store is a great opportunity to get out, stretch, fill up, hit the restroom and grab a snack. You ask me why? I ask you WHY NOT?!

This stop was that for me, despite the fact that I didn't even leave my car. I've come to appreciate so many more things since this pandemic began, and not pumping my gas is one of them. As I pulled off of I-5 and into this station, the pride in ownership was apparent. Not only was it clean, but there were beautiful planters between the pumps. Quite the change from the typical overflowing trash cans and squeegee in a dirty bucket of window wash. The pump attendant was busy but rushed over to greet us as soon as he was free. "$10 Regular please" I said as I handed over the bill. He ran inside to deliver the funds and request they start the pump (some stations require you to go inside to pay). I took in the beauty of the mountains that lie just beyond the sign and golden arches as I waited. This station also had a McDonald's attached. Before we knew it, the pump clicked and we were on our way with well wishes to "Have a nice day!", from the nice gentleman working the pumps. Perhaps it's the fact that I've been so reclusive, or the year 2020 in general, but I certainly find myself valuing kindness and (socially distanced) human interaction more than ever these days!

I asked him to stop and he said "I like even numbers" as the pump went to an even $44.00. I told him that was against the law and he said "there's some gray area" (there isn't). So because he has something against even numbers I'm supposed to pay extra for it? This is why Oregonians need to pump their own gas.

No problem, they let me go through again. Not much different. If you have a new car with perfect paint, a little dust or mud, go for the cheap wash. At $10 it's a bargain and you'll be pleased and have a clean car in literally a couple of minutes. If your car is really dirty, the wash will get the lumps off and you'll have to do most of the work yourself. But the atmosphere is good and it's a bunch better than struggling with your own vacuum in the driveway. I'll be back--before the moss has had time to grow.

PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE TAKING YOUR CAR TO HAPPY'S CAR WASH IN SPRINGFIELD, OREGON. I had been a loyal customer for the past year, going in for weekly washes. My husband has always warned me about touch car washes because of the possibility of scratching the paint, but I honestly never imagined I would end up dealing with damage like this. After awhile I started noticed significant scratches and oxidation across the hood of my car. I took the car back and asked one of the managers to look at the damage. His immediate response was that his brushes don't move in a horizontal pattern, so there was no way the car wash could have caused the scratches. We went back and forth about it, and I even asked him to sit inside my car and look at the scratches from the driver's perspective. He refused. As you can see in the photos, the scratches are going in multiple directions. It has ruined my clear coat on my hood and caused oxidation. A claim was supposedly submitted, only to be denied within hours. I have since tried repeatedly to contact the company directly because I wanted the opportunity to speak with someone other than one of the Springfield managers. Unfortunately, my calls and emails have not been returned. They have essentially "ghosted me." I have repeatedly been given promises that someone would contact me, only to hear nothing. The customer service throughout this entire situation has been extremely disappointing. Now, my entire hood needs to be repainted, and I'm left dealing with the cost and hassle of repairing my vehicle. I'm sharing this because I would hate for someone else to learn the same expensive lesson I did. If you're considering using a touch car wash, please be aware of the potential for damage and consider other options. I personally will never use Happy's Car Wash again. I hope sharing my experience can save someone else from going through this. Hard lesson learned.

The town of Cottage Grove is outstanding and this is the best place we have found to get gas and use their clean restroom.
