Attendant wearing his face mask around his neck. How helpful. Would go somewhere else if vehicle didn't require diesel.

Clean Lube - Come Try Our Service

Clean Lube

I'm so sick of going to the big corporate lube shops. Several years ago I started changing my own…read moreoil again but the hassle of having to recycle it from home got annoying. So I gave these guys a shot and I was so happy I did. They didn't try to upsell me with needless services using a scare tactic that if I didn't do it my motor would blow up. In fact, the lead tech came into the office with a grimace on his face in what looked like preparation for an argument from me about what was recommended. I read my owners manual and was aware of the need for full synthetic oil. He seemed relieved when I agreed with him on the synthetic oil and the cost of it. There was no attempt to upsell me at all and consequently I go back here every time I can and recommend them to anyone who needs a referral to a good lube shop. Good news: after they put up the Phillips 66 sign I was nervous that they had been bought up by a big oil company... which they may have... But my wife took her car in a couple weeks ago and found the same great, no-BS service remains. They're really friendly guys that work there, too.

I used the self-serve car wash, which is part of the Clean Lube business. Did not get my oil…read morechanged. - Two bays. - LOUD coin machine/controller. Yells at you - in Spanish no less - with every drop of a quarter into the machine. Why, people can't see the display right in front of them, indicating how much money they've deposited? Then it screeches during the last minute of your time. THEN it further assaults your ears after time has expired, demanding you move your car out of the bay. I'd rather drive a dirty car than put up with that abuse. - Besides, you'll have a dirty car anyway because the water pressure is substantially lower than at other self-serve car washes. - The good news is that it's only $2 for 4 minutes. Or free with an oil change.

I went to this place for years. I've taken all my vehicles here but last summer decided to to NOT…read moregive them my business any longer. Every time I would go in there, the " manager" would find some reason to read me the riot act over my vehicle. Not sure of his name but he's a short, sawed off little punk with a big attitude and lil man syndrome and an even bigger mouth. I guess he thinks he's my dad because he would always ridicule me for being a few hundred miles over what their sticker says like it was his own truck. lol if it wasn't the mileage, he always found some excuse to complain. I know that I'm not the only one he treats like this because he's treated my wife this way and one of my employees. A kid with this kind of attitude act this way everywhere he goes I'm sure. Last time I went there, I had punched my card enough times that I was owed a free basic oil change. This lil fella met me in the parking lot as always to direct me to which bay they needed me. When I presented the card that showed all spaces punched, he immediately accused me of " probably punching it myself " and ho- hummed around about whether he would honor it or not. He checks the computer and asks if I've changed license plates and tells me that I've only been there one time according to his records BUT very graciously agrees to do me a favor and honor the punch card. Of course, I knew this to be inaccurate so while they were changing my oil, I looked through my glove compartment and found all of the receipts that I've saved for this truck with this license plate, proving that I had had all the punches on the card legitimately and was indeed owed a free change. Keep in mind this guy didn't come up to my window one time questioning the card. He came up to my window so many times chastising me and telling me that he was doing me a huge favor that I literally closed the window on him and told him to change the oil and leave me alone. The last time he came to my window was because I flagged him over to show him the receipts in which case he rolled his eyes and laughed a sort of smart ass snicker as he walked away. Proven to be absolutely and completely wrong,He had no desire to argue or throw is whopping 135 pounds of weight around anymore. This KID was obviously bullied in the locker room in high school, thrown out of Boot Camp or maybe rejected at a fraternity someplace because he's got a chip on his shoulder,a piss poor attitude and a strong desire to show the world how all powerful and important he is. Either way it makes no difference to me. I now take my 4 vehicles someplace else and I'm very happy with their service and not having to have a confrontation with a lil kid that's young enough to be my grandson although if he was, his attitude would be straightened out real quick, I promise. Btw, I tried several times to contact an owner or anyone that might be interested in what a punk of an employee they had but to no avail.

Great service, staff and best price around…read more After going to my dealership, and being told I needed new brakes claiming I was down to 2 & 3% left on my pads, I went to Midas knowing they have a best price guarantee and lifetime brake pads guarantee. The owner of the Bend Midas store actually told me I had 20% left and I could wait awhile !!! When I did have my brakes done, it was easy to get an appointment and while I was waiting, two of the mechanics took the time to have short conversations with me and make my wait seem a little more pleasant. It's nice to know they are friendly and honest and not just trying to "sell" you.

Disappointed After 5 Visits - Still Dealing with Squeaky Brakes…read more I really try not to leave negative reviews--especially when a business initially makes a good impression. But after five return visits trying to resolve the same issue, I feel obligated to share my experience with Midas of Bend. I came in for an oil change promotion and was told my front brakes were in bad shape. I had recently gotten a quote from Les Schwab, but Midas beat the price by $60 and got the job done within the hour. At first, I was really thankful they could squeeze me in and give me a better deal. However, right after the brake replacement, my car began to squeak loudly while driving--a high-pitched, constant sound that wasn't there before. I brought it back in, and they discovered a bent coil, which they adjusted. Unfortunately, the squeaking persisted--especially when braking. Since then, I've returned five times. Each time they told me the brakes were fine, even performing a "safety check" where they drove my car down Aubrey Butte and slammed on the brakes. Still no improvement. The most frequent explanation I've been given is that my car is Canadian (it's a Kia), which doesn't make much sense to me. Now, after spending over $600, I'm still dealing with a loud, unpleasant noise every time I drive. I can't enjoy having the windows down, using the sunroof, or driving without music to drown it out. I truly gave Midas multiple chances to make it right, and I appreciate their attempts to help--but unfortunately, the issue was never resolved. I wouldn't normally post a review like this, but I hope it helps others make an informed decision.
