I stood there looking at the menu like it was homework After talking with the server, I got the Ekolu Plate. And why does saying "3 meats" make me laugh every time? Like I said you get 3meats & 5 sides The portions are HUGE. I've been wanting to try Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian for a while, and today I finally did--ordered through a delivery service, and I'm glad I did. I got the two-sides combo with teriyaki chicken, kalua pig, macaroni salad, and rice, along with teri sauce and katsu sauce. Everything arrived neatly packed, with plastic utensils and napkins included. As soon as I opened it, the food looked and smelled amazing. It was still warm and tasted fresh. The teriyaki chicken was juicy, tender, and full of flavor--so good that I didn't even need the extra sauce. The kalua pig was smoky, tender, and juicy, though just a tad salty for my taste. The macaroni salad was creamy, fresh, and delicious, and the rice was hot and cooked perfectly. Overall, I really enjoyed this meal. Stringbean had a birthday and he wanted Hawaiian food for dinner, so of course, this place comes to mind FIRST. It's in our neighborhood. We love the food. It's our new favorite go-to for ono grinds. I love the APP, which is user-friendly. Last night, we got two regular plates, four meats, four scoops of rice, and two scoops of mac salad. MMM. Hubby opted for a side of mac salad for $2.00. Man, we love this place. It is so yummy. The food is very good. There was only one time when the pork was a tad salty, but other than that, most of our meals here have been so good. I always enjoy seeing more local spots with comfort food from 808 pop up in Vegas. Mo Bettah's of the newer ones to me. I believe this is the second location in Vegas. The best part is it close to my house. I like the interior minute stepped into the restaurant. I definitely has the local vibe. The random surfboards, artwork, mission statement, local music seems local radio channel back 808, and employee vibes aloha spirit. They even offer drive thru. Tell inside totally renovated whatever it was before looks new new. The menu is straight forward with all of ur local stables. Not big terms of selection. U pick amount entree want or term for each one. U basically build it ask u want along the way. I settled on two entree one teriyaki chicken and chicken katsu. But really good and nice portion size on both. I also got spam musubi. Ok. My personnel taste make them myself. I not fan lot of sauce cook the spam. I feel too much teriyaki sauce on it. Apparently, the cookies are really good here. This was our main reason for stopping by, but of course they didn't have any at the time! Ughhh! We decided to stay and order food but regretted it immediately. Beware, they weigh their food. Why?? I understand they are from Utah. But if you are even attempting to be a Hawaiian food place, that is a red flag! Unless you are buying poke, no other Hawaiian restaurant weighs the portions like this. I ordered the regular plate with Kalua Pig and Teriyaki Steak. This was the worst Kalua Pig ever!! It was dry AF and very bland with no hint of smokey flavor. I had to wait 5 minutes for them to make more of the Teriyaki Steak, but it was worth it because it had good flavor. They also cooked it to the right temperature. However, because the steak is cut in very thin strips, they should include more to justify the $1.99 additional charge. My husband was also disappointed with his 3-meat plate with Kalua Pig, Chicken Katsu and Pulehu Chicken. Everything was bland and the only thing saving the Chicken Katsu was the sauce. Customer service was okay. The cashier was friendly, but the employees making the plates didn't seem too thrilled. Disappointed in this one and a complete waste of money. Stay far away! read more

My partner and I went through drive-thru for lunch and asked for an order of double Teri-chicken, veggies, white rice and another other of double katsu, white rice and Mac salad. We got our stuff relatively quick and went home. Upon checking our stuff we realized we got an entirely different order We were pretty disappointed by that, but took the L since we were hungry and didn't want to drive back 15 mins. Upon eating, we noticed the brown rice (that we didn't order) was going bad as it was mushy and had a strange smell to it & the Teri chicken was charred to a crisp rendering it inedible. Mo Bettahs food is typically delicious with fresh ingredients and the meats are usually well cooked, so it was truly shocking that we received this order. I was nearby and figured we had such a great experience the first time why not try it again. Big mistake. I went through drive through waited about 15 minutes until I was able to order. I ordered double Teri chicken ($14.29) with double veg and Mac salad and my other plate was double Teri steak ($18.29) with double Mac and one veggie. When the cook showed me my Teri steak I asked, is that double Teri steak he said yes. When I left the drive through I opened my plate again to see how much Teri steak I had, I was so disappointed for $18.29 not worth it for the portion. Every review that I read it says big portion. Idk not my plate. Now I know, I may need to pass the next time and drive further to buy at another Hawaii restaurant that will give you more for your buck. This is truly the best authentic Hawaiian restaurant in town and the food is so delicious and freshly made. The restaurant is nicely decorated in Hawaiian theme. The restaurant is very clean, relaxed atmosphere and very inviting. The restaurant has plenty of seating indoor and they also have a drive-thru which is very convenient. We have tried different plates on the menu, but our favorites are: Teriyaki chicken so flavorful and it pairs perfectly with the teriyaki sauce, it's a MUST TRY) and Macaroni salad are the best that we have ever had (a MUST TRY). Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection, seasoned right. I was very happy after trying the Macaroni salad/ definitely true homemade (not the prepackaged box stuff) and you can taste the difference in every bite. This is the way it should be! The portions are big and you will eat everything, because the food is beyond yummy!! The staff were super friendly and we have received great service. We have felt welcomed!!! Full of flavor and very tender. The macaroni salad was so good with the fresh carrot and flavors. My favorite. White rice, nice and fresh. Hubs ordered the salad with the teriyaki chicken. Very fresh lettuce, loved the won ton chips on it, gave it a nice little crunch and pairs nicely with the ginger dressing. Shoot the dressing was good with just the chicken alone. Solid spot, particularly for lunch. This newest location (third in Vegas?) is closest to my work, so I went in for their grand opening BOGO deal. Staff are friendly, menu is clear and ordering is easy, along a line like Subway or Chipotle. Their Regular Plate is $14, with two proteins, 2 scoops of rice and one of mac salad, with shredded cabbage for a vegetable/garnish. We tried four proteins and I liked the pulehu and teriyaki chicken (seemed fairly interchangeable), the katsu (def get the katsu sauce for dipping or drizzling) and the kalua pork was okay - I generally don't love pork but theirs was nice and saucy, mixed well with the rice for a comforting bite. They also have tempura shrimp and a steak option, for an extra charge. Rice was fine, mac salad was decent. Note that their sauces are prepackaged in cups, which seemed odd. I did not love how the katsu cup was only half full but they said they'd have to charge if I wanted more than one... Between the two of us, the two "Regular" plates made like 3 good sized meals, portions are definitely generous. I do like how they freshly cut and weigh out the portions of meat, so they're less likely to dry out and staff are more likely to serve consistent portion sizes. Dining room is large with a chill vibe, wish they had patio seating but with the Vegas heat I guess it wouldn't get used half the year. read more

The food is not exotic unlike some out there, its good for everyone! The Brown Rice had that perfect texture, not too dry nor overcooked. The protein (meat) is well cooked, tender, juicy and not too oily. Although one of the downsides is that their Spam Musubi is just stocked on the side next to the cashiers check-out spot so expect it to be on the cold side, yet they use original Spam (not Low Sodium vers). It's Monday the 28th of April 2025 at about 3:00 pm or so. Business seems to have slowed a bit since their opening. There is lots of free parking and the parking lot was clean. We were greeted enthusiastically upon arrival. I had the regular plate which comes with 2 scoops of rice 1 scoop of Mac salad and 2 protein choices. I ordered the Kalua pig and the Teri chicken. The kalua pig was not as salty this time but still very good. First time for the Teri chicken and I loved it, the chicken was cooked well juicy and tender. The Teri sauce is to die for. My wife ordered the mini plate which comes with 1 scoop of rice, 1 scoop of Mac salad and 2 choices of protein. She got the kalua pig and Teri steak. On our last visit the steak was served as chunks of steak with a pink center which we loved. This time it was served thinly sliced, so no pink. Both times the meat was tender and tasty. I think the chunks were more appealing. Inside the restaurant was nice, clean and with lots of open seating. It's a nice place to sit and enjoy a good meal with family and friends.
