MNM Flooring,
Why I went with this company to have the flooring installed in our business. They like ourselves are a small family owned business. I figured that with them being a small business that they would like us treat their customers like family. We had Omar come in to measure and give us a quote to have the bamboo flooring installed in the new location that we were building. We were given a fair quote for all of the materials and labor that was required to do the job. A deposit was given and we arranged to purchase and acclaimate the materials. Omar and his company were to furnish the supplies needed to even out the concrete flooring in our space. Everything went pretty smooth even with a two week delay on the installation, no fault of MNM Flooring. Finally the day arrived to start the installation right after Thanksgiving. We were quoted that to lay 4100sq Feet that it would take a week to 10 days. They finished in four !!!
Fast forward to March! We have a bubble ! I call/text Omar with the situation. No worries I am told a crew will come out and repair. I paid for more glue/epoxy, repaired, Done.
April.....Another bubble in another spot. Called/Texted again. No worries they came out did the repairs.
June......Another bubble in a different spot. Called texted again here is where we start to have bigger issues...We will come out to look at it. Got the dates mixed up to come in and do the repairs, everyone is busy or called in sick, then there are personal problems with an emergency out of the country. Then nothing.....
August....Omar is in the hospital. But has been brainstorming about our constant bubble issues, it is the "foundation"....Moister....Come to find out that the epoxy that they used initially did not contain a moister barrier so this is what is causing the bubbles. Okay this is Houston and it's humid I get that but then he admits that it was not done properly to begin with. He says that he will tear up the existing and not charge me labor but that we have to provide all new flooring and supplies because he can't afford it.
Enter Harvey. No water in our business thank goodness. Walk into our store on September 2 to find bubbles everywhere. I contact Omar and ask him for his insurance paperwork. It takes weeks to get it. I call his insurance company to file a liability claim. They take all our information and say that they will have to contact MNM and let them know and I will be contacted .
Fast forward 9 1/2 Months We are out $17,000 for supplies, contracted labor, and materials and still have bubbles in my floor and still no word from Omar, anyone at MNM Flooring or his insurance company. As a small business owner it pains me to have to write a review such as this but maybe this will not happen to someone else. read more
