I entirely agree with the imperfections that he found but to point out to my fiancee a bunch of problems made us both feel bad. When I confronted him about his conversation with her he got defensive and told me that I was wrong and he was right, no apology was ever given. I ended up taking the rings back before he could do the work. The rings were in her name and he didnt check with her that I could take them, he didn't make me sign anything, he didn't even ask my name before letting me walk out with the rings! To summarize, if you want no security for you item, a rude owner/salesman, and an all around cocky/abrasive jeweler then Paffrath is the place.
