We worked with an architect to…read moredesign the porch, and had a really hard time finding a contractor that was responsive and seemed to want the job. Leader was a little more expensive than some bids we got, but I honestly think when changing the face of your house, you get what you pay for. Leader dealt with the City, the permits, the architect, and managed every detail of the project. Lauren dealt with permits and the front end of the project (because I knew nothing when we started all this), and Kaitlyn (construction manager) managed all the contractors and worked with us to deal with contingencies as they arose. We replaced the windows and door on the front of the house. We excavated 14,000 pounds of concrete stairs (layered for over 100 years), we replaced the siding on the front. We had roofers and electricians to deal with. The carpenters that built the porch (Zenon!!!) were masterful and executed the architectural plans perfectly. The structure and roof were completed in 6 weeks start to finish. I appreciate how communicative Leader is, I appreciate how carefully and neatly their contractors worked, I appreciate that every single person who worked on our property was incredibly professional. We absolutely adore our porch. It looks like a totally different house. We couldn't be more pleased with the work of this excellent company.

Apparently, before calling them, you need to know how much your construction project will cost. I guess our money is not good enough for these people.

The team rotated for various stages of the project: demo, reconstruction, carpentry, tile and finish work. They worked with our current plumber as we had determined that at the outset. Mike or Brian were on site at least once a day and they were always available to stop by if any issues popped up. The house was built in the 1920s and the bathroom was original to the house, so unexpected issues were inevitable, i.e. deteriorating pipes discovered when the walls came down. These bumps along the way were handled skillfully and effortlessly and they walked us thru their recommended solutions at every turn. The team was professional, knowledgeable, friendly & respectful. We were able to work from home without any interruptions or concerns. The work itself was top-notch as everyone on the team was skilled in many different areas. If a tile issue came up when the carpentry guys were on-site, they were able to seamlessly switch gears and solve the problem. They sought our input and kept us in the loop every step of the way. They offered suggestions and solutions that made us confident in our decision to use them for such a large project. They took care to finish every last detail and a few weeks after the bathroom was completed, Mike stopped by to fix an AC vent cover that got stuck in the shut position when re-installed. Little things like that is what sets them apart from other contractors we've worked with in the past. The Giovannucci Brothers communicated with us in a clear, straightforward manner so there were no surprises. We always go in to these types of projects with a bit of anxiety, but our concerns disappeared once construction began. We will be recommending Brian & Mike and their team to all our family and friends. Thanks, guys!

The great thing about Dan and his team is even after the construction was done he still answered my calls and has come back to do several additional projects years later. Most recently, Dan and his team finished my basement. It has been 8 years since the initial renovation and I am still super happy with the work and quality! What really sets Dan and his team apart is they listens to their clients and hears their request and concerns. We had one minor setback in my project and Dan's commitment to resolution was impressive. In my experience, no project is 100% smooth so knowing that Dan and his team can overcome the snags is HUGE to me! If you're looking for skilled professionals who deliver great results and truly get your vision, I highly recommend Aureli Construction. You won't be disappointed - they exceeded my expectations!

The estimate came way below the other 2 we got. We didn't go with them because if price.... but the initial inspection. The crew of 5 guys were amazing. They arrived at 8 and got right to work after setting up. No radios, no one smoking and no breaks till 12 noon. An hour tonthe minute they were back to work. We had an issue with wood roof members and I decided to re apply the entire roof with new wood. We weren't taken advantage of and still came below the other estimates. Clean up at 6 each night WS done in a manner you'd never really know they were there. When we needed the additional wood it arrived in time for the install. From the initial consultation, it was clear we were dealing with true professionals. They really know their stuff when it comes to structural work, which gave us a lot of confidence going into the project. They took care of all the permits and engineering approvals and made sure we understood exactly what was happening at each stage. The wall removal itself was done flawlessly. They installed a support beam that looks like it was always part of the house seamless and solid. The difference it made is incredible. The space feels brighter, bigger, and much more open. After the structural work, they handled the full renovation of the first floor including new flooring, lighting, drywall, and paint. Every part of it was done with great attention to detail. The quality of the work really shows and they were respectful of our home the entire time. Always on time, kept things clean, and communicated well throughout. We're absolutely in love with our new space. It feels like a brand-new home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend True Structural and Construction to anyone thinking about a major reno or structural changes. You want people who know what they're doing and who actually care about the results. These are those people. Thank you to the whole team. You truly transformed our home.

We had our kitchen renovated and even after we hit a major snag and had a few hiccups, they remained dedicated to completing the job well, rather than rushing through. There were a few instances where our finished surfaces weren't covered after installation and work was still going on (cabinets, countertop, floors) and it would have been great to have them protected right after installation without us asking, but nonetheless they always followed through on our requests and respected our wishes as the homeowners and the finished kitchen came out great. The crew was respectful and we always felt like they really worked hard to ensure we were happy. Beckmann construction very clearly knows what they are doing and are great at it. We spent 20k in design costs with them but never moved forward with the project, as the final construction proposal was 100k more than the budget we provided when we hired them (300k vs 400k+). Not only were the costs higher, but the scope only covered about 75% of what was in the original proposal. They seriously managed to propose a project for $400k that would have left KNOB AND TUBE WIRING IN MY CHILDREN'S BEDROOMS! On top of that the owner was extremely unpleasant to work with and was consistently belligerent and wasted our time. She wouldn't even give us the architectural drawings we had paid for when we wouldn't sign the construction agreement. I have waited all this time to post this review because I wanted to have a fair comparison against a different contractor. I'm happy to say we recently completed the project with a different company, and for under $500k we got completely new electric, HVAC, a new kitchen and two new bathrooms. And this was during and after the pandemic when prices were sky rocketing. If you have money to burn I'd highly recommend Charlie Allen, but otherwise if stay far away from them.

The project designer walked us through the selections and set us up with local vendors who were terrific to work with.
