Stopped here on the way to my friends new condo in B-ham and as it is a blink and you might miss it place it was awesome! What a great selection of wine, beer, and drinks! The selection of craft beer was impressive and they had a great selection of Michigan craft beers which is a favorite of my husbands. I wish the Michigan wine section was as populated as the beer. I love local liquor! The guy working was so helpful and nice! I will definitely stop here on the way to my friends house again if we are drinking. read more

Let me cut right to the point, this place is fantastic. The overall selection and quantity of their beer, wines and liquor stock is nothing short of jaw dropping. I had hewed good things before deciding to check them out but I was totally blown away. They have obscure variations of international beers and liquors I never even knew existed, or that I've only seen offered for sale overseas in either Europe or Southeast Asia. The prices aren't the lowest, no, but they're not out of control either, but honestly when you're looking for a VERY hard to find type of beer and they not only have it in stock, but also 2-3 other variants, you will quickly forget that you're paying an extra dollar or two. Nice selection but they watch you like a hawk and price gauge since they think they carry exotic items but you can find them elsewhere for much cheaper prices price gauging on Dark Horse beer $16.99 a four pack sells for $7.99 at Whole Foods of all places! read more

I'm not sure where all the raves are coming from. Wine selection was very pedestrian -- mostly large production stuff -- and the beer selection wasn't all that much better. For both beer and wine both Cloverleaf and Holiday Market in Royal Oak beat this place hands down as does Sylvan market in Keego Harbor, or even the wine department at Plum Market or Whole Foods. If I was only way somewhere and had to stop in a pinch, I'm sure I could find something, but nothing impressed me enough to draw me in here over a ton of other places in this neck of Oakland County. read more

I really like this place as the selection is outstanding. They have all types of mixers and fixin's to go with different kinds of cocktails and different essentials for wine. Pricing isn't too bad as I got the fifth of Rumchata,Beaujolais nouveau, a gift bag, and 2 mini Rumchata's and it was only $50. Service is usually really good here, however the last time I went there the owner was there & looked right at me but didn't say a word. the person at the counter asked if I needed help but couldn't have been more interested or crack a smile. I've been in there before and they were happy to special order a wine or tell me when to get it or where to get it. So they have been helpful in the past. There are a few other places that are close by where the service is impeccable every time and they are more than happy to help. I do love mL and will be back. They usually always have what I'm looking for and sometimes a little something extra! read more

I'm so happy mL is in town -they have a great selection of wine and the prices are phenomenal. The staff also are very friendly. There's been a big gap, in my opinion, since Merchant of Vino has been gone, so it's a pleasure to have a wine store like this nearby. read more

I found the service to be lacking, certainly given the inflated prices. I recently visited the store looking for a particular wine. When I asked the employee if they carried that winery and variety he didn't know and had to look around the shelf. When I located the vineyard, but not the variety I was looking for, he immediately claimed that the bottle they had on the shelf "was excellent." Funny, two minutes before that he didn't even know if they carried it. I repeated that I was looking for a particular variety. He replied in a reluctant tone that they "would have to order it." He did not offer to order it or ask if I wanted to order it. I left and was able to order the wine directly from the winery (via amazon) at significantly lower prices than this store would have charged. read more

Not sure what else you could really ask for in a beer/liquor/wine store. It is wonderful on the inside and the staff is very helpful. I am a craft beer drinker myself and they have a wonderful selection from all over the country, more importantly, of Michigan based beer. No store will have everything, but this is certainly a start. Best place I've found in the area so far. Cloverleaf has probably 1/5 of the beer selection. read more

We visited ML Spirits on the recommendation of friends, and it did not disappoint. The owner is "hands-on", and gave us a ton of recommendations based on what we told him we liked. Some of the wines he showed us were way out of our regular wheelhouse, including a South African Meritage, which was delicious, and something we would have never chosen in a million years. The store is very organized and clean, and everyone is very friendly and service oriented. We're very glad to have this store on our side of town. read more
