I had been looking for a new horse park to take my granddaughter when she visits. The last couple…read moreof times at other places it seemed more like a glorified pony ride. The horses did not seem very healthy either. I came across Tally Ho on Facebook. I was impressed by the owner's generous spirit and kindness to others. Marti does so much for Veterans and others. I figured that care would transfer to her horses and to her guests...and I was right. I was immediately struck by how warm and welcoming Marti was when she greeted us. Then when I saw the horses and facilities I knew I hit the jackpot. Very clean, very organized and gorgeous horses that are very well taken care of. Marti is all about teaching. This isn't " plop on a horse and get led around." You LEARN. And in a very fun way! By the end of our session my 6 year old granddaughter was off the lead and really riding! She was ecstatic. She also learned how to care for a horse (as did I) which is important. She LOVED it and can't stop talking about it. I rode too and I've never had anyone take the time to teach me. It was thrilling to be able to actually understand how a horse thinks and what I need to do to ride. It was a huge confidence boost and I am actually getting teary eyed writing this thinking of Marti and of course, my girl Maddie. Tally Ho is now my go to place. And it's not just for kids. I was paired with Tex, who hadn't had a rider in about 6 years. He lifted his head often, which made me feel a bit anxious as a beginner. I felt like I was going to fall off. * The parking situation is confusing--there are two driveways, and we accidentally pulled into the one that leads to the owner's home. She was not happy about it and let us know. We moved the car, but just a heads up to look for signs or ask where to park. Overall, it was a good experience--my daughter had a blast, and it's something we'll remember. Just be sure to communicate your comfort level and experience before saddling up. I'd still recommend it for families looking for a unique and fun outing!

And they no longer had one. They were "doing it old school" We found a date that was available and let her know it was for a date. She said a deposit was required, which to us seems totally normal, I repeatedly asked where I could place the deposit, for days I asked again and again. I even offered to come in person. I took the time off work for this date and hoped she'd respond considering we had been in communications and I was very quick to ask about securing the date. she knew the date I wanted and agreed it was available. I asked multiple times if she could please let me know if it was no longer available. Truthfully I could have booked elsewhere . I'm very disappointed with the lack of professionalism. the date passed and still didn't hear from her. With no notice, I was left last minute trying to scramble and find something else. Days later she did not offer any apology for the lack of communication that just dropped out of no where. She expected me to still want to book. She Just sent me somewhere else to contact her on WhatsApp. Mind you there is no where on any of her social media that says anything about booking elsewhere or another number. Why didn't she send this 2 weeks prior when I inquired about booking? Not sure but she definitely ruined my plans. I was pretty devastated. I gave it some time, before deciding to leave this review. It's just the lack of professionalism empathy or accountability fr her own actions that I felt necessary others know. This was a really significant and important date. I personally feel If you can't do it, you don't just ghost clients especially after talking to them every day for over a week and confirming a date. If you have an important date and want to book a horse back riding experience this would not be my first choice.

I had a camping trip to Yosemite National Park planned in September and knew I wanted to propose to my Fiancé while on the trip and didn't know exactly how I would plan this. We are avid outdoor/hikers and love horses. When I found Yosemite Trails Horseback Adventures, I knew that this was the PERFECT place for me to propose to the love of my life. I wasn't quite sure how the proposal would go down to begin with, but Cami and the entire team made the experience unbelievable. I felt like part of the family and cannot thank them enough. They scouted out various different locations along the route for the spot prior to my arrival and communicated with me every step of the way. Jolene found the location on the trail, and was our guide. We did a private trial ride as I wanted the experience to be intimate. Jolene was INCREDIBLE and we cannot thank her enough. She was an expert guide and made the entire experience a memory we will never forget. Jolene took pictures for us and planned the entire proposal location, she was fantastic in every regard. The horses were beautiful and looked extremely well taken care off and loved. The trail ride itself was the best we have been on, and we have done quite a few.
