I had been looking for a new horse park to take my granddaughter when she visits. The last couple…read moreof times at other places it seemed more like a glorified pony ride. The horses did not seem very healthy either. I came across Tally Ho on Facebook. I was impressed by the owner's generous spirit and kindness to others. Marti does so much for Veterans and others. I figured that care would transfer to her horses and to her guests...and I was right. I was immediately struck by how warm and welcoming Marti was when she greeted us. Then when I saw the horses and facilities I knew I hit the jackpot. Very clean, very organized and gorgeous horses that are very well taken care of. Marti is all about teaching. This isn't " plop on a horse and get led around." You LEARN. And in a very fun way! By the end of our session my 6 year old granddaughter was off the lead and really riding! She was ecstatic. She also learned how to care for a horse (as did I) which is important. She LOVED it and can't stop talking about it. I rode too and I've never had anyone take the time to teach me. It was thrilling to be able to actually understand how a horse thinks and what I need to do to ride. It was a huge confidence boost and I am actually getting teary eyed writing this thinking of Marti and of course, my girl Maddie. Tally Ho is now my go to place. And it's not just for kids. Package would have easily been worth double the amount we actually spent! Our guides Mitch and Brandon were the most experienced cowboys I've ever met and not only did they share their knowledge in such a respectful way but they gave my son and I a full day of enjoyment with taking us through the most breathtaking views, laughter from their great stories and experiences and all out humble hospitality! Most personable and down to earth people running this place.
