This was probably the best, most comfortable and professional dental experience of my life. The staff got me in right away (the next morning) and were so warm and lovely. Their offices were professional, really clean and quite state of the art. I saw a beautiful female dentist (not relevant, but she is!) who I *believe* is Dr. Danya Mougharbel, but am not positive and a really friendly female hygienist, both very professional and welcoming. The dentist discovered my gums around the crown were very inflamed and that I needed some gum surgery before the crown could be readhered, which was fine. I felt nothing -- seriously, whatever magic numbing juju they use is miraculous because I felt literally nothing and my face didn't feel like it was sliding off my head, either. Really localized anesthesia -- well done! She reseated the crown and it felt immediately 100% better. No discomfort, no pain, and my bite finally felt normal, which it never had since I'd had the crown initially applied. I was thrilled. I was a little nervous about the cost, but considering they saw me immediately, did surgery and used industrial super mega space shuttle adhesive to keep my crown on (okay, not space shuttle glue), I was pleasantly surprised by a roughly £200 bill. I wish I'd gotten my crown here to begin with! They were so helpful in sending the photos and my file to my US dentist so I could dispute their work. Really immediate customer service by the office management. Thank you, Kings Cross Dental Clinic! I want to come back for a cleaning before I go home!

What do you do when a week later you suddenly find yourself with a toothache? You see Dr. Martin. Thank god for Dr. Martin because without him I would have been in some serious pain. Ok, chipped tooth maybe not so much pain as it may have been painful to look at. But I had a bad tooth ache and it was time for a root canal. Was able to get in to see the Doc quickly and get the pain somewhat situated. Only problem was, the pain/issue had spread and caused an infection of the gum area. Pain for a few more days since I left town and didn't get any antibiotics before I left. (my fault). However, got in later to get the full root canal done and had taken my full course of antibiotics by that point. Today, 5 days later I'm pretty much pain free. Thank goodness because I worried about losing the tooth because it has a crown on it. Dr. Martin is a private dentist but in my opinion - the way he puts you at ease and handles the whole dental procedure is awesome. I don't particularly like dentists - something from my childhood, but I would definitely recommend coming to Orchid Dental without any hesitation.

The staff and Dentist were extremely pleasant to deal with and the filling was quick, painless, and healed same day. Absolutely top notch service and care, and I am beyond grateful for their service. Luckily the procedure went smoothly and the nerve was not interrupted. He was so quick and had the most up to date technology. 1 week later and the cavities that have been filled are not giving me any problems at all. I have had no sensitivity from the very beginning. He works inside the the London Centre for Cosmetic Dentistry with Dr. Spektor who did an adjustment for me on one of my teeth and he also seemed very nice. Great receptionists up front as well. The dentists is very clean and up to date looking with laminate floor in the waiting room, there are plenty of magazines to read whilst you are waiting. At this dentists they treat privately and nhs patients. A year ago i had to have 4 teeth extracted at these dentists and to cut a very long story short i am no longer afraid of the dentists after having this done, infact i could have anything done and wouldnt even batter an eyelid any more. The dentists put your mind at rest and if you still think you can feel something or some pain they will stop and give you some more injections. The staff are very friendly and they call you before your appointment to make sure you are still avaliable to attend.

I was told about this practice in Broughton and rang for an NHS appointment for an examination and…read morescale and polish. They said that if I wanted to see the Hygienist it would cost £45 for a scale and polish on top of the NHS charge. When I asked why I had to pay privately she said because the hygienist was private. It seems unfair that in order to have a proper job done at an NHS practice you have to pay privately.

His surgery is, ironically, situated above a sweet shop (!) just off the main market square in the centre of Hitchin with some great views from the waiting room window. He's NHS registered which can be a rarity these days though he does private work too. He's a lovely laid back chap who puts you at your ease - his surgery seems very high-tech and his work (we've had everything from mundane fillings to full root-canal work!) seems great. He's also very good with our children, reassuring, funny and they aren't worried by trips to see him at all.
