Unfortunately I have to disagree with the 2 other positive reviews on here, they are both 3 years old perhaps things have changed?
I was ill towards the end of last year (2010) having had a cough for 6 weeks, this surgery now make you see a nurse before you can see a doctor unless they think you require immediate doctor attention.
The nurse told me it was a bad cold and acid indigestion was aggravating the cough and that is why I had a pain all the time in my chest. At 8 weeks I was still no better, again denied a doctor's appointment the nurse said I must be asthmatic and prescribed an inhaler. A couple of days later I was having serious difficultly breathing, my wife took me to A&E. They admitted me straight away, I had pneumonia and spent the next week in hospital. The doctors in the hospital felt the severity of my illness could have been prevented if I had received better medical treatment earlier. I am fairly young and in good health. I have made a full recovery however if it had been an elderly person or a young child the outcome could have been much worse.
In addition you never see the same person twice and you would be lucky if you were given a prescription for the right item and the right quantity.
It makes me very concerned that people are having other illnesses not spotted until it is too late due to the MacDonald's fast food style of care at this practice. read more
