I have seen the practice grown from two Portakabins into a modern, thriving practice with all the mod cons. Dr Moore needs a team of skilled practitioners, caring and professional nurses and without a doubt some of the most helpful, friendly and always professional receptionists in the business. At times it can be difficult to get an appointment but it is the NHS and they have more patience than they do money so sometimes a bit of patience goes a long way and remember the receptionists are just the messengers so there is no point in shouting at them and getting angry. All the patients are in the same part and we are all treated equally if someone has a more urgent and desperate case then they should of course be seen before somebody else or just has a rash or a cold. If you are lucky enough to become registered as a patient at Milton Keynes Village Practice (MKVP) thank your lucky stars because it has Frequently been rated as one of the top doctors practice in Milton Keynes, if not the top practice and I am very very appreciative and thankful of the service that they provide.

The waiting room is spacious with a play area for young children. When it is time for you to be seen the doctors come out into the waiting room to call you, which adds a nice personal touch. With only one exception I've found all the doctors I've had dealings with to be very approachable. My only issue would be that mad scrum on the phone lines for an emergency appointment at 8.30am.

After seeing the NHS several times, I still did not get a diagnosis why I am unwell: constant…read morebloody nose, dizziness, sleepiness and itchy feet and palms. I have been recommended to Harley Street Health Centre by one of my colleagues. So I booked an appointment with Dr Abood. The consult lasted an hour, and included a chat about my symptoms, when they occur, ear & nose check, blood pressure and also had blood taken. Personally, even though I am in my mid 30's,I am really scarred of the needle, but the nurse was amazing. She distracted me by keeping my mind busy chatting, while she was drawing blood. Offered me water & advised to wait for couple of minutes before I leave. The whole experience was 5*. No rushing or looking at you like you are crazy because your palms & sole is itching at night, weirdly enough. So the next day I got my results. It was not as bad as I thought. Iron & Vitamin D deficiency. Something that can be fixed easily. So glad I went to the clinic, as my nose bleeds and itchyness have been haunting me for years. I am now taking my supplements & feeling much better. Will have another blood test done probably in 3-4 months.

I was lucky to find this lovely clinic in Harley Street which did exactly that and I've been visiting this place for the last 3 years. Would suggest it to anyone in and around the square mile.

I was in and out within a few minutes! Now I am thinking of registering here to see a doctor, but probably not, as the parking is very minimal and always presents a headache as there is usually nowhere to park.

I personally had a good look through the NHS choices website, but as most people only bother to review places when they are angry... so it can be scary reading!! It makes it sound like all the doctors in this area are useless with reception staff that have been replaced by trolls - eep! This review is in case other yelpers move to Walthamstow and have a similar difficulty choosing a GP! Addison Road Medical Practice is just around the corner from Walthamstow Village...it is quite a residential area, and there aren't many sign posts nearby, so take a map the first time you attempt to get there! I called ahead to find out the best time to come in and register. I had to fill in quite a few forms...and then needed to set an appointment with a nurse to finish the registration. The Brilliant bits: * I have never been kept waiting for a long time here. There is a sign in screen at the side of the reception. This morning I signed in, and was called to the doctor within 2 minutes...then I was out with a prescription within 10 minutes. * They always keep some appointments free each morning. If you call at 8:30, you can get one pretty easily. The downside of this is that you might need to wait for a non-urgent appointment. * The building seems new-ish and clean * The reception staff are friendly, although have little time to help as they are so busy. * It's NHS, so fixes you up for free (^^) The less-brilliant bits: * You aaaaalways need to hold as the phone line is always busy. * The place seems pretty big, and can be daunting the first time you go here. No-one bothers to instruct you how to get to rooms...so I just wandered around looking at signs until I spot the right consultation room. * There is a board that tells people the doctor is ready to see them...but no announcement. The first time I went there I was not told to sign in/watch the board, so I nearly missed my appointment. * I found my doctor quite unapproachable...He did give me antibiotics for my chesty cough, but his brisk manner made me unwilling to ask him other questions. *sigh*
