And the pedicure was a joke. My lady barely gave me the massage I paid for in the deluxe service. The massage chair hardly worked and just jerked around. The people in charge were friendly but the people completing the services were just going through the motions. The guy who did my nails and the person who did my sister's nails did not take their time, cut our fingers/cuticles, the length of the nails are extremely short even when asked to keep the original length and made the dip nails crooked and uneven. We will never come back & felt it was a waste of money. Not to mention the guy who did my sisters nails asked her to help him with renting a car on enterprise on his phone. I know exactly what it takes to treat your clients well. I know the customer isn't always right but I do know you can handle situations respectfully. Used to be a religious customer and went every two weeks to get my nails done, It was subpar work every time but it was just convenient for me. The service was the same each appointment pretty rude but tolerable, what did it for me was when I had gotten a white acrylic set two weeks prior to going in and had planned on getting a pink fill so it looked like an ombre French tip and after he put a fill of pink acrylic and a gel top coat they tried to charge me $75 for an ombre design and a fill when it was literally two steps. I've always tipped well when I went in there and had been a returning customer but after trying to rip off someone they see every 2 weeks I thought it wasn't worth my money anymore. read more

I've been going to mk every2 weeks for 3 months and each time gets better And better. My tech is Tom and he's fantastic! Not just with his fills but also his designs! It really is art. I had a GREAT experience there. They were efficient, friendly and my nails (& toes) look great. Prices were affordable and I'll definitely be back. In the future I'd ask for the colors to look at as soon as I sit down because I was taken by surprise when he asked "what color do you want?" and I hadn't seen the options - then again, I guess I could've just said "hot pink" and he would've probably delivered. Very friendly but they did not do a good job. They messed up the thickness and shape on each of my nails are very different lengths. The lady doing mine was not doing the best and other employees noticed and tried helping discreetly her fix it but paying $80 for nails that don't look good, is not a great feeling. If I could give them zero stars I absolutely would- I got there at 10 am for a Mani & Pedi for my best friends wedding the NEXT day. The pedi was okay, until he left me with wax on my feet and hot towels (which turned cold in 5 minutes) for 15 minutes before i finally took them off myself after he had already done my pedicure which was backwards to start with. The guy who did my nails was AWFUL- I showed him a reference of what I wanted, in which I received the complete opposite. I left with thick, painful, clumpy square nails. I didn't realize how bad they were until I stepped out into the sun- I came back 5 mins after I left and the male manager was NOT happy with me and was so unprofessional. He REFUSED to give me my money back ($50!!!!!) when I asked him to just take my nails off and I would take my business elsewhere. He kept saying he would "fix" then and "file" them to make them even. I had no time, so I had to sit down with him so he could attempt to "fix" my unfixable nails. Last week I went into MK nails to get a full set. It was late in the day, but they talked me into a pedicure as well. I figured it was because they felt they had plenty of time to do it. But no, they doubled up on me to do the process. One person started my nails and then sent me over to the pedicure chair, and while someone else worked on my nails, she did my pedicure. The nail guy went from one side of me to the other, making me crisscross my hands. He was rough, digging into my nails and yanking back my cuticles. She kept insisting that I needed to upgrade to the most expensive pedicure- and I ended up telling her NO four freaking times!! He was in such a hurry that the gel did not dry before he put the topcoat on. He got the topcoat all over my cuticles and then put them under the UV lights. I didn't realize it until I got home and had a bubbly mess! The topcoat was all stuck to my skin, and when I tried to get it off it ripped my skin! Worst experience ever! And anAnd a relaxing pedicure was absolutely ruined by them working on too many things at once. All they care about is moving you through and getting the most money out of you. I had one mediocre pedicure here several weeks back and decided to try again. On Sunday I went back for another pedicure and was really upset after my visit. First of all I had requested Tiffany because someone told me she does a great job. When I checked in for my appt. I clarified I had a pedi appt with Tiffany. Once seated a man began the service(obviously not Tiffany). As he started to remove my gel polish he was causing a lot of pain by over drilling off my polish with the electric drill. I know lots of nails techs do a great job using a efile and I've never had so much discomfort. I could already see I had multiple nicks on my cuticles that were bleeding. Even once the gel polish was removed my toenails were still so so tender which I've never had happen before. I've felt that little burn that quickly goes away but this was much more painful. Once he began nail work he did not use any cuticle softener and didn't even clean under or around my nails. He cut my toenails back when I had mentioned I didn't want them trimmed back. He also did not push back or trim away my cuticles at all. I always opt for the upgraded pedicure that includes a scrub, mask, and paraffin. So I told him I'd like the middle tier pedi they offer. He kept insisting I get the top teir pedi for a longer massage which I did decline 3 times. I didn't appreciate the pushyness while I was trying to relax. I am a service provider and understanding upselling but it was excessive. Once it was time for polish I chose a silver glitter which he only applied a single coat of. I'm a cosmetologist so I know it's standard to apply toe coats of polish. The single coat is sheer and doesn't give enough coverage at all. The most upsetting thing about this whole experience is once I arrived home I noticed my toenails still so tender to pressure so while I was looking at them I can feel how thin they are at the tip with a huge hump at the back of the nail. It is obvious that he was way to aggressive to the efile. For $71 I would NEVER go back. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I really want to leave a good review, because I know the technicians income is primarily based on tips. However, I can't in good faith recommend this salon. I've been here more than a handful of times and the service goes down each visit. Today I was a walk-in right at opening and although it wasn't busy, at all, my pedicure was rushed and done in 17 minutes. My nail tech did not put base coat OR lotion on my legs. I brought my own nail kit and polish and was somehow overcharged $3. Their pricing board and the menu sheet she handed me said the simple spa pedicure is $32 but she charged me $35, without even adding tip! Another nail tech walked over and started showing me loads of pictures showing me designs and asking if i wanted them. I saw one that I liked and said yes. Neither of them said I would be charged or anything even though i figured it would be a little extra. I get 8 nails with just plain gel and 2 with stripes. I went to checkout and was charged more than $85 for my nails. The stripes on 2 of my nails were $40 dollars. I'm not a person who complains but oh man, the only nice people there are the receptionists. I have been there multiple times just because the first time they did the job ok so I kept giving another chance; all the other times they don't do it how I want it and also is really expensive. The 2 men in the front line are always angry at life, I don't mind if they have long faces or their bad and rushed mood but today that business crossed the line. They put me with a person who maybe has not ever done nails before or is very green. This went horribly. My first time here and the guy that did my nails was horrendous. Kept calling me "woman" like "here you go WOMAN" and kept shushing me and jerking me around. He legitimately cut my cuticles with the electric nail file and burned under Meath my fingernails. I said ouch and the guy kept doing the same thing. I went with my mom on Mother's Day to get our nails done. We both had appointments that day, when we arrived it was packed( we didn't mind that). My mom had booked a mani and pedi she only received the pedicure. She said the water was cold, the guy doing her service was rude and rushed. I had booked a full set of acrylics. I wanted long nails with the edges painted(as shown in the photo) before we even started I showed the guy that exact picture and asked if he could do it he said yes. To start out these are the ugliest nails I have ever received. Before he even glued the tip on he didn't trim my actual nail and didn't trim/ push my cuticles back. Then after applying the acrylic he didn't use a base color or even use colored acrylic. He applied the nail polish uneven and very sloppy. We were over charged for the pedicure (BECAUSE SHE DIDNT EVEN RECIVE HER MANI) and just ripped off on the acrylics. When my mom went back in to ask for a refund for the mani she didn't receive they just told her no and started arguing with her. Hands down the worse experience ever. I got my powder dip nails done last weekend and a week later they are discolored, peeling and looking like crap. I'm so disappointed for the money I paid. Dip powder should last 3 weeks.
