She would smack gum, eat food, and generally had an attitude of not caring. Only until my last class did she run me through a couple of rules but I never really learnt anything under her teaching. It was high pressure and everything I learned was like being tested without knowing there was a test or what the material was on. The only saving grace here is that the people at the office are great, they kindly signed my second permit and gave me another learning certificate for $25 when I lost my first one. I would shop around for a better driving school before settling on this one.

They set up the days and times which worked perfect for his winter break which was that week. I called on a Friday after Christmas then got a lesson for the following Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It was at 3pm which was good for my son to deal with afternoon traffic driving. Instructor: very communicative via text and phone call. Sometimes he was early, which worked great for us. First lesson: went over rules of road and allowed son to drive with much guidance. Second lesson: more driving for my son and learning to merge or lane change. Third lesson: went to dmv to practice route and what will be tested. Hand on papers were provided to the parent on what to practice.

Our first interaction with A-Z Driving School was with Erin, she was very helpful and thoroughly went over all the options of service they provide. The prices are fair, they offer continuously flexible session times, and their cars are clean and recent models. His next two lessons were with Steve, who was very professional and got him on the freeway and helped him with preparing for the exam including backing up. We came to Code Ninjas after a really difficult experience my son had at another childcare program…read morehe had attended for almost a decade. After that experience, I reached out to Code Ninjas and was very open about my concerns regarding my son being excluded or treated differently because of his race. They immediately reassured me that this would be a safe and welcoming space for him and made it very clear that racial discrimination or exclusion would not be tolerated, period. After what we had previously experienced, that reassurance meant so much to me as a parent, and, more importantly, they have consistently lived up to it. My son has always felt welcomed, included, and comfortable here. The staff are incredibly friendly and caring, and I especially want to recognize David and BJ. They have been wonderful with my son and have helped him grow tremendously in his coding skills and confidence. I have always felt comfortable leaving him here knowing that he is safe, respected, and treated like he belongs. Unfortunately, our family has made the decision to move away because of the consistent racism and exclusion we have experienced while living in Fremont. Our move will take us too far away for my son to continue attending Code Ninjas, but otherwise, he absolutely would. I will forever be grateful to David, Vijay , and the entire team. They gave my son a place where he could simply learn, grow, have fun, and be a kid without having to worry about being treated differently because of the color of his skin.
