We recently moved here to Wilmington, with our new house that came with a pool. Being the first…read morepool that I've ever had, I needed help with getting the pool up to par, learning how to keep up with regular maintenance, and a monthly servicing. Luckily, I found Thornton Pool Service! After calling Rob (founder/owner), he immediately returned my call, showed up within the day, and gave me a detailed assessment THAT MADE SENSE AND DIDN'T CONFUSE ME! On top of that, his prices were very affordable, and reasonable. He got my pool looking and operating like brand new, and educated me on how to maintenance it weekly, which is rare for a service to do; as it's usually in a company's best interest that you're clueless as how to service whatever you need. After a month, I had discovered that the pool was poorly designed. The backwash conduit lead to the drain on the side of the pool. So, whenever I backwashed it, the dirty water would overflow from the drain and dump into the pool. Obviously, I called Thornton Pool Services immediately. His response time was immediate AGAIN! And he came over to assess the issue within the same day. After speaking with the original owner of the house, he said that his pool service recommended that we reroute the conduit from the pump, to the side yard. That would mean that we would have to install it under our concrete, which would cost us over $10k. Rob invented a solution that only cost us $100s! He's an honest, smart, and diligent service. I will never use anyone else's service, going forward!

I decided to look on my own and found Robert on a Tuesday, he gave me a repair quote that day, got the pump by Friday and repaired the pump on Saturday (very early)! He has a fantastic work ethic, is honest and reliable, something I'm finding less and less with the service people around here. If you want a fair price to service or repair your pool with quality, definitely call Thornton Pool Service. I can't say enough good things about this company.

I went into to the Wilmington store to get our pool water tested for the first time by Leslie Pool…read moresupply. After a 15 minute wait the staff person took my sample and tested it. When the test was complete he started to review the results. When I questioned him about one of the results he rudely said he was done. I asked him to finish reviewing the results and he refused, I assuming because I questioned the results. I told him it was a mistake for me to ise Leslie Pool Supply. I took another water sample to Ocean Blue Pool and Spa and their test results came out very different. When I showed them what Leslie Pool recommended they said you would have ruined your pool water if you followed through with their recommendation!! Leslie Pool Supply is probably a reputable business but I would caution customers to make sure their recommendations will not harm your pool.

I was told it was most likely the cable and it could be between $ 300-600 to replace had to ask if he would look it up so I knew the exact price. No guarantee it would fix the problem I'd be better off buying a new one for $1200-1600. I asked if he replaced the cable and tested it ,and it didn't work would I have to take it ? his reply was I don't want to install it and then have to take it off. My reply was I'd rather not spend $500 only to have it not correct the problem. Took my cleaner to the 3710 collage ave location,my experience there was the complete opposite.Wonderful professional service , they took my cleaner and said they would work on it after a few other repairs. Next day spoke with the associate turns out there was nothing wrong with my cleaner ,rather a pro with my internet. My biggest surprise was there was no charge as I had purchased my cleaner at Leslie's. Wow from a $500 repair, $1200-1600 new cleaner to a no problem no charge solution. I will gladly drive further to receive the quality service. Highly recommend this location.
