In the spring summer and fall there is also the farmers market located in the municipal parking lot on Saturday mornings. Hideaway stands out from the pack of other antique stores in this area for a few reasons. First, it's huge and spacious. There's room to move and no risk of feeling cramped as with most of the other places on this stretch of queen. Second, the owner is friendly and helpful, but also leaves you to wander about and poke at things in your own time rather than trying to push assistance on you. Finally, the pieces here are outstanding and reasonably priced for what they are. There's definitely an amazing ceiling lamp priced at $1400, but most of the furniture is much more reasonable.

I'm not sure what the other 2 reviewers are talking about who gave low ratings. The mandate of this consignment store is to only accept items that are in 'Good' to 'Mint' Condition. They do not accept 'Goodwill' level items. I love their sliding scale of prices. I've missed out on 2 items but keep going back scouting for just the right piece to add to our home. There's a great selection to choose from that challenges your design esthetic. The only reason I've not give 5 stars is I personally feel their delivery price is too high. I believe it should be pro-rated based on Distance. I don't feel right paying the same price for a delivery say to Stoney Creek and beyond when I'm 3 Blocks away. So I wait til the final price to be able to blend delivery price into purchase price yo still feel I got a good deal. The service staff is welcoming and are willing to work with you. #Recommend

I got an amazing roll of dead stock illustrated race car wallpaper, an amazing vintage How to Draw Dogs book, and a history of posters book. Selection can be limited. It has improved over time as in the past it had that basement smell…read more(maybe the move out of the used book seller fixed that.) The individual merchants in the mix do change over time and will improve or not the venue accordingly. The long stairs down discourage some folks from entry. There are others within a few blocks running similar operations.
